Hi

I have added a toolbar button to a smartform on a sharepoint site but need to have it hidden based on certain users permissions. I have created a sharepoint list where I will add these users that can access the button. I have not found a way that I can check through the SMO if the user is in the permissions list or not based on the current user setting.

Can someone please point me in the direction?

Thanks!

Hi,

So correct me if I am wrong, you have a SharePoint list, which contains users who are allowed to use that toolbar button. So each time when a user access that form, it will check with that SharePoint list, and decide whether to hide the toolbar button?

Have you tried opening the K2 for SharePoint app in that list, and generate a SmartObject? Once you have generated a SmartObject for that list, you can easily use it in your form rules to determine if the currernt user is in that list.
