Getting type initializer exception after restarting K2 server

Issue

After restarting K2 server, the following error shows when attempting to login:

The type initializer for ‘SourceCode.Security.Claims.Sts.Shared.Authenticate’ threw an exception

Resolution

If you did not make any changes to your K2 environment recently, and this did not appear before the restart, then try performing a IISRESET first and see if that resolve the issue.

If you have made changes recently, such as applying a FixPack, and this shows up immediately after you applied a FixPack, you can check out this KB for the resolution step.
