Resolution

When looking at the IIS authentication for the K2 Designer site, it is observed that the Windows authentication is disabled. When reading the error it seems that Windows authentication is attempted but not allowed.

Enabling the Windows authentication in the authentication of the K2 Designer site in IIS resolves this issue.
