Introduction
KB000320 updates all K2 blackpearl 0807 version 4.8210.1.x and 4.8210.2.0 installations with latest product patches and hotfixes, as detailed below. The installer will update K2 blackpearl 0807 32bit and 64bit installations.
Issues Resolved
The following issues have been fixed and are contained within this update:

- KB000302 - Hotfix: Error in Reports from Process Overview
- KB000303 - Hotfix: Exception when an InfoPath form calls a SmartObject's load method
- KB000304 - Hotfix: Active Directory Query Locks Server and Returns No Results
- KB000305 - Hotfix: InfoPath form opens in IP instead of Forms Services
- KB000311 - Hotfix: Out of Office Search Screen Error
- KB000312 - Hotfix: Special Characters Error in User Search in K2 Designer for Visual Studio
- KB000313 - Hotfix: Using InfoPath with Form Services causes an error
- KB000316 - Hotfix: Error occurs on SmartObject properties of DateTime type when set as return property
- KB000317 - Hotfix: Valid SharePoint Site URL not accepted in the SharePoint Events Process Wizard
- KB000321 - Hotfix: K2 Worklist disturbs the page layout for the K2 Web Part
Installation
K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.320) is available as an independent installation package which can be found here: http://portal.k2workflow.com/downloads/bp/default.aspx.
The K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.320) installation package must be installed by running the K2 Update Manager (K2Setup.exe) found within the update package. To install this package, follow the steps below:

 | Note: This update package should be installed on all machines that have one or more of the following components installed: K2 Server, K2 Designer for Visual Studio, K2 Designer for Visio, K2 for SharePoint, K2 for Reporting Services , and K2 Workspace. This update should be installed on machines running K2 blackpearl 0807 4.8210.1.x or 4.8210.2.0 |
- Welcome Screen
The Welcome Screen introduces the K2 blackpearl Update Manager. By default, an installation log file will be created. It is recommended to create a log file. Click Next to continue.
- Components to Update
The Components to Update page lists the K2 Components that the update manager will update. Click Update to continue.
- K2 blackpearl Server
The K2 blackpearl Server must be stopped for the duration of the patch. If the server is running a warning screen will appear requesting that the K2 blackpearl server be stopped.
- Reset IIS
The K2 blackpearl Update Manager will request and perform a reset of IIS.
- Ready
The K2 blackpearl Update Manager will install the update, and will show the progress of the update via the progress bars on the screen.
- Finished
Once the update has completed installing, the wizard will show you the finished screen. A link to the log file that is created is available on this screen. Click Finish to close the installer.
After the K2 blackpearl Update Manager finishes, the configuration of the following two components will begin:
- Reporting Services
- MOSS/WSS
The configuration tool will only run if one or more of these components have been updated, and will only configure the associated component. So in a distributed environment when installing on the MOSS Server, the update will only configure MOSS and the Reporting Services configuration will not run.

- K2 Configuration Manager
- K2 blackpearl Server
- K2 for SharePoint (MOSS and WSS)
- K2 Designer for Visual Studio
