Issue Description

When you have an Active Directory user with either the name, display name, description or email properties containing more than 200 characters, an error occurs when you run a sync using the Sync Engine.

Error Message

The following error is logged in the Host Server log file: “An error occurred while updating the entries. See the inner exception for details. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: String or binary data would be truncated.'”

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 Five (5.2) installed.
  2. Download the K2 Five (5.2) FP23 from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
  3. Install the K2 Five (5.2) FP23 to apply the fix.
  4. Execute the sync again.
