Introduction

K2 connect 4.6.5 updates all current K2 connect installations from version 4.10060.1.0 onwards with the latest product hotfixes, as detailed below.
 

Note: The installer will update K2 connect 32-bit and 64-bit installations.  One installer will now be used for new installations as well as upgrades.  When performing an upgrade, the current K2 connect installation will be uninstalled and the new version will be installed. The existing settings will be retained such as the K2 connect license key, however, it is important to select the correct database during the installation.

New Features:

• Optional Parameters - Optional parameters create direction IN fields as optional method parameters. Properties are created for Structures and Collections as well, and are optional if designated as such. For more information see KB000711 - How to use Optional Parameters in K2 connect for SAP.
• Complex Types - Serialize and Deserialize methods are created when optionally creating an XML property during service object configuration. For more information see KB000712 - How to use the Serialize and Deserialize functionality for Data Structures in K2 connect for SAP.
• Complex Type Folders – The Serialized/Deserialized objects are grouped by BAPI making it easier to locate the required object.

Enhancements:

• The SAP Queries sections is now hidden from the K2 Service Object Designer
• One installer for new installations and upgrades

Software support:

• Added Visual Studio 2012 support (Visual Studio 2008 support will be deprecated from this version on)
• Added Windows 8
• Added Windows Server 2012 support

Issues Resolved

The following items have been resolved in this update:

• KB000749 – High Priority bug fixes for K2 connect 4.6.5

Installation Prerequisites

The following are prerequisites to K2 connect 4.6.5 (4.10060.750.0) and must be installed prior to installing this update:

• Full Installation: K2 blackpearl 4.6.5 (4.12060.1.0).
