Issue Description
When you attempt to deploy a package using K2 Package and Deployment, you are unable to map a control and / or view to existing items on the target environment. This causes a validation message and you are unable to deploy the package.
Error Message
The validation message in K2 Package and Deployment states: “Missing reference”.
Resolution
- Ensure you have K2 Five (5.1) installed.
- Download the K2 Five (5.1) FP22 from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
- Install the K2 Five (5.1) FP22 to apply the fix.
Considerations
You will be prompted twice to configure the missing reference. Once for the view and once for the control in no specific order. After mapping the first missing dependency, you might need to select a different item on the tree structure and reselect the item you are busy configuring in order for the mapping to update and prompt you for the second missing dependency. Once this is done, you will need to re-analyse.
