AssureSign: KBA Fails for deceased signer

Issue

I've sent out a document to sign to someone who is deceased and, when their Executor attempts to authenticate and sign, KBA comes back with a failure.

 

Resolution

KBA will fail for someone who is deceased so there can be no fraud.  What you're experiencing is expected results from the KBA provider.

 

Additional Information

Please try resending the document for signing to the Executor of the Estate, rather than to the deceased individual.
