Issue
When using a Salesforce Report, dates within the same column are not formatting as dates or are inconsistent formatting.
Resolution
1. In the Excel template add a filler date "7/1/2020" and ensure the cell format is "date."
2. Using the Format Painter Select this cell in the column and drag the cell formatting down beyond the maximum number of rows ever expected from salesforce.
Expected result:
The format from the salesforce report will be merged into the excel document as "7/1/202" instead of excel general numbers.
