Code Fix: When you perform a quick search on a number column, an error occurs

Issue Description

When you perform a quick search on a number column in a list view, and you use text, an error occurs. This will occur after you have changed the field name of a SmartObject used for the list view. 

Error Message

The following error occurs: “The quick search value does not match the property type of Number for the [old SmartObject Field Name] field.

Resolution

The fix is available in:

• K2 Five (5.2) October 2020 Cumulative Update Fix Pack 06.
• K2 Five (5.4) Fix Pack 34.

1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
4. You need to clear the browser cache.
5. This Fix Pack needs to be installed on all CDN’s and load balanced SmartForm installations.
