How to properly change region and date time format in K2

To ensure K2 is using the region and date format you want without causing any issues, you need to make sure the region and date format are updated in the correct location. 


Instructions 

To change the region and date time format the servers are using without causing any issue, you need to do the following:

1. Log on to the app server using your K2 service account, and change the region and date format settings

2. Log on to the web server using the account used to run the K2 application pools, and change the region and date format settings.

3. Restart all K2 services and perform IISRESET

You need to make sure the K2 service account and K2 application pools account has the exact same region and date format settings. This will ensure there are no date differences in the workflow date functions.


Additional Information

If users are using Chrome or Edge, affected users will need to update their browser's Language settings. A browser's Language settings can affect the date time format a user will be seeing in the workflow reports or on their forms. Please note that this will only affect the date time format users see on the browser they are using, and not modify the actual date time values retrieved by the forms.
