Code Fix: When using non-English characters in Email events / task notifications, the message content displays incorrectly at runtime

KB002603

PRODUCT
K2 Five 5.1
K2 Five (5.1) Fix Pack 11

Issue Description

When you use non-English characters in Email events / task notifications, the rich text displays correctly as right to left text in design time. However, at runtime the message content still displays as left to right when the email is sent.

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 Five (5.1) installed.
  2. Get the K2 Five (5.1) FP11 from Regional Support.
  3. Install the K2 Five (5.1) FP11 to apply the fix.
  4. It is recommended to refresh the browser cache.

Considerations

After installing the Fix Pack, edit the workflow and edit the Email event / task notification. Click in the body of the Email event / task notification and finish the event. Deploy the workflow and start a new instance of the workflow. The message content will now display correctly in runtime.
