Issue
K2 Setup Manager stuck on Database Configuration with a message box saying:
"Validating. Please wait."
Error Code
The installer trace log in %temp%K2 Setup Log shows that the process is stalling at the part where it compares the collation of the SQL server and the K2 database to ensure that it matches:

12:40:41:>> CommonMessages.CollationValid: Database: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
No other message was written after this.
If you try to start the K2 service on this environment, you may also notice that it does not proceed when validating the license keys.
Resolution
This may suggest connection issues between your K2 server and the SQL server hosting the K2 database. Restarting both servers may resolve this issue.
