Table data/External data not available in form created in SharePoint list form designer?

So I have created both a form as a start even for a NAC workflow and, separately, a Nintex form for a SharePoint online list via the SharePoint list form designer. I noticed that in a choice field on my start even form I have access to my table data and external data, but not on my SharePoint list form. Is there a workaround for this?
