Issue

Running a re-configure through the K2 Setup Manager gets stuck on the K2 Core component

Error Code

The following is seen in the InstallerTrace log:

RetryableAction.Execute: Logged Error: Could not successfully execute action 'Xml Patch: ConfigurationManager.config'. Exception: Could not find file to update XML: D:Program FilesK2SetupConfigurationConfigurationManager.config

Target.Execute: !Completed: Xml Patch: ConfigurationManager.config 1, Success: False

Component.ExecuteTarget: Logged Error: Target did not complete successfully: Xml Patch: ConfigurationManager.config 1

Resolution

The issue is caused by the K2 installation directory pointing to the Setup folder (e.g.[INSTALLDIR]Program FilesK2Setup) instead of the K2 folder (e.g. [INSTALLDIR]Program FilesK2).

Please check the following and update the values to the correct K2 installation directory:
1. [INSTALLDIR] variable in the [HostServer].[Configuration] table

2. [CONFIGURATIONFOLDER] variable in the [HostServer].[Configuration] table -- This should point to [K2 Install Dir]Configuration e.g. "C:Program FilesK2Configuration"

3. In the following registry locations:

HKLM > Software > SourceCode > blackpearl > blackpearl Core > InstallDir
HKLM > Software > SourceCode > blackpearl > BlackPearl Host Server > InstallDir
HKLM > Software > SourceCode > blackpearl > BlackPearl Studio > InstallDir
HKLM > Software > SourceCode > blackpearl > BlackPearl Web Components > InstallDir

HKLM > Software > WOW6432Node > SourceCode > blackpearl > blackpearl Core > InstallDir
