O365 Task notifications and overdue task reminders arrive simultaneously

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hello team. We recently set Assign a Task notification due dates to = the date the action is executed. Task notifications are followed by reminder emails to be sent daily when a task becomes overdue. The result is somewhat confusing – the initial task notification and overdue reminder emails arrived simultaneously.  Any ideas?

Also... in the Number of times to repeat section of the reminder email options, is there a way to send 'until completed' rather than a set number of days? Ideally, we'd like reminders to go out until a task is completed without regard to how many days that might take.

Including a screenshot of the scenario in paragraph 1. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

You should calculate on a variable the value of 1 day ahead your task is created. So the user will start receiving reminders the next day.

You can also send a notification when task is created , but this is another type of email.

Then you could set the quantity of reminders with 1000, for example, although reminders will not be sent anymore once the task is completed
