I want to load a people picker field with JavaScript in Nintex Online Form in O365.

I just have the login name of a user (looks like i:0#.f|membership|user@whatever.com)

How can I do this?  I've looked at the NF.PeoplePickerAPI stuff online, but if I try to use that in O365, i get an error that says "Uncaught TypeError: NF.PeoplePickerApi is not a constructor".  It appears that this might be only for on-premise Nintex.
