Lead Generation & Onboarding from a Public Form

Create a lead record in Salesforce from a web or mobile form. Then onboard the lead with multiple people and business systems.

This Sales Lead Generation template shows how to connect Nintex Workflow Cloud to Salesforce, and create a form driven lead generation process.

NOTE: This workflow uses a web or mobile form. If you want to publish your form inside Salesforce, use the template: Sales Lead Generation & Onboarding with Nintex Workflow for Salesforce.


What the workflow does:

  1. Starts when you load your sales lead details into a form on a public form.
  2. Creates a Lead record in Salesforce.
  3. Sends notifications to the Seller, Sales Operations, and other business systems.
  4. The workflow ends.

Quick start with this template:

  1. Import this template to your Nintex Workflow Cloud tenant:
    1. Copy this 32 character Workflow Key: 18c91670244248488276b2d32a1b2326
    2. In Nintex Workflow Cloud select Import, and paste in the Workflow key.
      Use the name Lead Generation and Onboarding - Website Form to help keep track of your imported templates.
  2. Create a Connection to Salesforce.
  3. Open the template and configure all of the Salesforce actions with your Salesforce connection:
    1. Start event: Form
    2. Create a record
  4. Select Publish, and Assigned use: Development to publish the workflow for testing purposes.
  5. Test the workflow:
    1. Fill in the form and click Submit.
    2. Verify that a new Lead was created in Salesforce.
    3. Verify that the Seller and Sales Operations both receive emails.

Requires at least a trial version of Salesforce and at least a trial version of Nintex Workflow Cloud.
