Why does my nintex workflow make two lists (SharePoint 2010)

Jump to solution

I am currently working on an approval workflow.

I have an approval folder that has a 2 step workflow process that 1) Creates a task in 'Lists' and 2) Sends a notification to the workflow initiator.

After this has completed I have a workflow under 'Lists' where the approval begins.

The problem that I am having is that instead of one document in my Master Task, there are two being produced each time!

How do I edit this to make it produce only one?

Do you also receive 2 notifications?

Hi,

If you are receiving two notifications, as asked by Fernando, it would indicate that the workflow is actually being triggered twice. If this is the case, what criteria do you have to trigger the workflow? If you are utilising the "Start when an Item is created" and a conditional "Start when items are modified", you may inadvertently trigger the workflow twice.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi,

No my workflows start manually so should this still be affecting the performance?

Thanks

Hi,

So you don't have either of the two workflow settings mentioned selected as Yes or conditional?

Hi,

Thats what it was - THE CONDITIONS!

I have 2 workflows: high and low and because I did not set the conditions to be specific for the different priorities, both workflows started instead of one.

Now in worfkflow high I set the conditions for it to start only when a high task has been set and so on for the other workflow.

I am now getting only one document in the master task.

Thanks for your help.!
