Update Item keeps showing my name for text comments

I've created a very simple workflow with two actions, Request data (using a MultiText variable to get text from another user, not me) and Update item (with the same variable to a column in the same SharePoint list with versioning turned on).

For the life of me, I can't figure out why when the workflow is completed and I clicked "View Entries", I see my name for the comment, Created at and Last modified. It really should show the other user's name because the comment looks like it is from me

For example:

Version: 2.0

Re: Update Item keeps showing my name for text comments

Hi Ben,

If you remove (disable) the Update Item and rerun the workflow, do you get the same behavior?

cheers,

Vadim

Hi Vadim!

I like your Google API tutorial and is going to try it out myself.

I disabled the Update Item and rerun with only Request Data, when I click on "View Entries", I get

Comments      No existing entries.
