I have a simple SharePoint Nintex workflow set up to send out an email when a modification is made to a list item. This email goes to different people based on who is listed in the form.
One of the list fields it pulls in is a person field. When the email goes out it shows the person's name as: i:0#.w|DOMAIN\USERNAME any tips on making it pull the first name from AD?
Most easy way would be to pull the first name from the sharepoint user profile instead of active directory by using the query user profile action
if if needs to be active directory use the ldap query action
before you can do the last one you need to strip the domain name from your logon name though and only insert USERNAME to your query
Hello Austin Walls-Barcellos -
I would use the Query User Profile action as mentioned above. This will give you the ability to select different properties for the user such as First Name, Last Name, phone number, etc.
From there you can concatenate your results however you need to and plug them in so it is human readable and not i:0#.w|DOMAIN\USERNAME.
Hope this helps!
