Can a cascading dropdown in 2013 allow multiple selections on the first field?

I'm trying to do a cascading dropdown where the first choice allows for multiple selections and then based off of that it populates the second choice which just has to allow for one selection from a list.  Is there a way to do this in 2013?

For an example:

We have multiple systems that a counterparty may need to be setup in.  On the request form, I need the user to be able to select one or more systems (Trading System1, Trading System2, Accounting System, all, 1 and 3, etc.).  Once the system is selected, the 2nd field of Counterparty Type should filter based off of the selection(s) for System.  Some systems don't have any Counterparty Type associated with them and others do.  So, if the 2 systems that have Counterparty Type associated with them are ever selected, then the list needs to populate with those fields regardless of what other systems are selected.  If neither of the 2 with Counterparty Type are selected then the box would be blank.

Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

Hi Amber,

Yes Nintex Forms 2013 supports cascading for multiple selection. This video show you how to create a cascading dropdown in NIntex Forms 2013. Create a Cascading Drop Down in Nintex Forms for SharePoint - YouTube . Although this shows a single value lookup, the concept is the same and you can have a multiple lookup list for your first control. Hope this helps

Hi Amber,

I just saw that your question is still marked as "Not Answered", and this is one great question, i did some testing in the online version of Nintex Form, I belive that it should be the same for the SharePoint 2013 version.

Anyway, as Jeremy has posted this is possible yes, You can follow my step by step guide to achieve the single choice drop down first here.

Then what you will do is go to the "cascading lists" list settings, choose the country column and choose "Allow multiple values":

The Result will be:

You can also make the City Colum a multi value column, and the results:
