How to call a web service logged in as another user who's got the permissions to do it? In Nintex Workflow Office 365

Jump to solution

Hello Community, Cedric Oster‌ has asked the following question.

Hi Emily, thanks for this step by step guide, it's useful. However we'd like to call a web service logged in as another user who's got the permissions to do it (add user to group or create list for example). because the logged in user calling the workflow won't have these permissions. Is there a way of impersonating another user - like in the WF action 'Office 365 Create Site' where we can get another user to create the site.

We are in a SharePoint-Hosed App.

Thanks in advance for your help !

Would the October release of the App Step in O365 be of help here? The App step that allows workflow actions to interact with Office 365 using elevated permissions, allowing you to create items in lists with different permissions or advanced interaction with SharePoint’s REST web services.

Indeed Andrew, I've tried this new action last week with a standard action like 'create item' but I need to try it with a call to a REST web service. Thanks.
