Code Fix: K2 Workflow IPC fails to start after server reconfiguration

Issue Description

When you have a K2 Workflow that starts an inter-process communication or IPC, the IPC fails to start after a server reconfiguration resulting in an error.

Error Message:

The following error occurs: “K2IPC.CreateConnection","1 Send failed with error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.”

Consideration

After the fix Pack has been applied you will need to re-deploy the K2 Workflow in question.

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  • K2 Five (5.5) November 2021 Cumulative Update Fix Pack 01.

 

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
  4. It is recommended to clear browser cache and refresh the page.
