Is there a way to dynamically change the design system for the user?

If we wanted to have two design systems (standard and dark mode), is there a way to dynamically change the design system for the user? In a perfect world they could store their preference in a user object and default to that design system.

Hey @duane !

As of now their isnt a way for users to dynamically change the DS system but I will do some digging and will circle back once I have something.

PS: This is a really good idea that could help enhance the end user experience. You should bring this up in the #ideas channel.

Cheers

Hey @duane,

So I have done a bit of digging and as it stands, you will have do some some manual coding in order to be able to switch from one DS to another as well as making sure all the style variant IDs are exactly the same throughout the two design systems for the pages to read the DS correctly.

Please note we don’t recommend doing since it does involves custom coding, but I have passed your idea you have posted in the #ideas channel to the team for them to look at as a future feature!

Cheers,

Thank you,

It would be fantastic if skuid would offer the DS as a URL parameter.
