This isn’t something that was announced, as it is a more advanced feature primarily used internally for troubleshooting. We do have some docs in the works for this that should be coming down the line in the future.

Two helpful usages are:

$PreviousAction.result.variableName -> Useful for getting Apex results into Skuid data

$CurrentAction.error.message -> Any error reported by Salesforce DSAs
