SKUID Page Cleanup/Optimization: How to identify Unused Models & Fields within Models

Presumably, more models on a page increase the page load time. Seems to be a rather tedious task to remove unused models and/or unused fields within models, if, over time, developers don’t clean up after themselves. Are there any shortcuts? What would guys recommend as the best way to identify models that are not being utilized in the page and/or fields that are in models but not being referenced? Perhaps GREP the Page XML for each model name and analyze the references?

Thought I’d ask before diving into a massively manual cleanup effort. :(
