Earlier, minimode links were used to update after the process is published. That means after the process is published, the same minimode link is used to display the last updated version before it was published and called out as "Historical version".

Now, it doesn't work this way. Has this behavior changed recently?

The same older version minimode link will redirect you to the latest published version of the process (for example, from v0.14 to v2.0).

If this is true and recently implemented, the "Help Centre" documentation (available/accessible on the upper-right corner of the Pomapp UI - Help > Help Centre) needs to be updated. It still provides information that contradicts the current implementation/behavior of the minimode link.

Hi @pwavikar,

Minimodes can get a little confusing. You need to be careful which version of the Process you are viewing when generating a minimode link for it.  This is especially nessecary when you are a user that can edit the Process - e.g. Promaster, BA, Process Group Champion, Process Editor, Process Owner or Expert, because when you view a process you view in the In Progress version by default.  A non Process editor of a Process will only ever see the Published version.

So when generating a minimode link you want updated everytime the Process is published, you need to be viewing the Published version of the process e.g. 0.x versions.  This minimode will always show you the latest published version.

If you generate a minimode link of an unpublished version of the Process e.g. 0.x versions.  This will show you the latest unpublished version of the process, up until the time the Process is published.  This minimode link will then show "historical" and show the last unpublished version, and a new minimode link of the published process will need to be generated.

If you generate a minimode link of a Published Process, when you are viewing the In Progress version, e.g. Version x.x.  The same rules as for unpublished Processes above goes, it will show the latest in progress version up until the Process is published.

So in summary - the trick is - the make sure you are viewing the published version of the Process for any minimode links where you want the minimode link to always show the latest published version of the process.
