Training units can be set up with a set of items that a person needs to read, review and/or complete to be considered trained in a topic.
Competency units are similar to training units but they have the added ability to specify the competency level of the trainee. So once the competency unit has been complete the assessor would be able to assign the level of competency the trainee has achieved.
Both training units and competency units allow you to add resources, including links to processes, documents and weblinks. So while you would not be able to create a survey in the module you would be able to link a survey for the trainee to complete.
If you select to use the supervisor assessment to assess the unit then the assigned supervisor for the unit would receive a notification once the unit has been complete. These notification can then be actioned from the dashboard.
