Getting this error, while approving the task form. “This task is currently locked by another user. Please try again”. This task is assigned to a group, but no 2 users had kept the task open at the same time, but still getting the same error. Also sometimes the the issue comes and sometimes it doesnot.

Hi @SM123 @Star

This is a complex issue and can be one of many things causing it.
The first thing to look at is how may items are in the task list.  There should not be more than 5000 items.
Are there workflows running on the task list? These can cause problems.

For an in-depth analysis of this issue you may need to contact Nintex Support.

P.S.  This is actually a Microsoft SharePoint issue and you will most likely see this issue with SharePoint designer workflows as well, as both Nintex and SPD use the same workflow engine.

Even Iam facing the same issue … I have used Run Parallel Action having 4 different task forms assigned to 4 different groups , but while approving the task forms it gives the “This task is currently locked by another user. Please try again.” error. Any solutions for this please 😥.
