Hi - We have a Help desk ticketing system. It will be useful for users to see the ID of the item which happens to be the Help desk ticket ID, on the form itself. I don't see ID as a field available for drag and drop from the wizard. Can we have ID to display on the form ?

I could always copy the ID value into another field when an item is first created and have that appear in Read only mode on the form. But was just curious whether we can avoid this extra step.

The Item ID won't become available until the item is created in the list.

Thanks,

Mike

yes, I am aware of that. But was hoping I could display that on the form once it is created. I guess I will use the "copy" option.

Hi,

If I've read your question correctly then this should be really easy to achieve since you do not care about displaying the ID on initial form create.  All you have to do is drag and drop a label control onto the form, then open the configuration screen for the label and click inside the Text Area, off to the right you will see the Insert a Reference panel from which you can select Item Properties > ID

This will display the item ID associated with the item/form.

Thanks

Awesome. That works ! Thanks
