Hi,

I would like to know few things about migrating nintex forms from on prem to cloud.

when i try to do export the form from on prem and then try to import to the cloud nintex forms it say’s doesn’t support the file format.

how can i migrate the forms? also i don’t see the SQL Request on the cloud just like on prem.

we are heavily reliant on that action.

We have around 30 Nintex forms, how can i go about migrating the forms? do i have to recreate them from scratch?

any inputs is appreciated.

Thanks

@AshMa Do you already have Nintex for o365? Or are you just looking at starting to move now?

@leighburke Thanks for reply. we are just looking to move now. I checked with nintex licensing we do have NWC license and can download the Nintex forms app as well.

@AshMa

We currently cannot directly import forms from On-Premises to the new Nintex Automation Cloud SPFx app in o365. This feature is planned for the next quarter.

SQL requests are not available in O365. For now, you'll need to use a web request or potentially a plugin.

Nintex Automation Cloud (NAC) forms have data sources that can fulfill your requirements. Depending on your specific use case, an NAC Start form might be a better solution.

If you haven't already, I recommend discussing your cloud migration with your Account Manager.

@leighburke Sure will reach out.

But i have couple more questions can you please answer.

So, you’re telling me now there is only one SPFX app called NWC which has both the forms and workflow functionality built in it? i have checked the form start event type of the NWC it is nothing like the nintex forms.

Also will there be no option of clicking on new item and opens a nintex form? is it all going to be customization with SPFX for nintex going forward if we want to start creating forms.

workflow is straight forward with trigger event attached to the list. But nintex forms is really confusing in the cloud with microsoft trying to retire the add ins, what would be the approach for nintex forms to have same on prem behavior of clicking new item and opening the nintex form?

@AshMa You can still have Forms on list trigger a workflow(https://help.nintex.com/en-US/nwc/Content/Designer/Startevents/SharePointOnlineStartEvents.htm). If you don’t see the list forms option in the SPFx app like below, you will need follow up with your AM and licensing to make sure you have been licensed for the Forms in the new app.

@leighburke  Thanks, will reach out to my account manager.
