Hi,

Looking into a form which may require users to complete a form before they receive an AD account.

Does anyone have a step by step guide on how to do this? The K2 5.3 documentation is only so so and skips to other links, so i'm after a A-Z Guide to set this up, anyone got one or able to advise?

Also, would this require a seperate Runtime folder and IIS website? -If these exist on the same server, could this expose other forms (which use Windows Authentication)? because you create a copy of the existing runtime folder?

Seondly, how do u guys lock down Anonymous access forms from Spam etc if accesible on the internet to the outside world?

Thanks,

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi  @Sharpharp1 ,

To answer your first query, you can install two runtime sites and configure one for Anonymous Access and the other for Authenticated Access. Please refer to the below documentation for the steps needed to set up a seperate SmartForms Runtime site:

https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2five/icg/5.3/default.htm#Configure/SF/Config2nd-Runtime-site.htm

Thanks,

Kimberly

https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2smartforms/ICG/current/default.htm#Anonymous_Access.html?Highlight=anonymous

In the part that says:

To enable Anonymous Access, perform the following steps:

  1. Set IIS Authentication to ONLY anonymous authentication

Do you set authentication on the Root Level of the K2 Website or on the RuntimeInternet Users folder level?

If i want two sites, one real runtime, the other runtimeinternet users, what should the IIS settings be:

Is this right?

Website Root - Anonymous only

Runtime - Windows ONLY

RuntimeInternetUsers - Anonymous ONLY

Is this right?

Ok, got this partially working.

However, no images are being displayed, any reason why?

I am using the Picture control to display banners etc, however when accessing the form as an Anonymous Form, the pictures are replaced with an X placeholder instead.

Other controls such as text areas, labels, buttons all seem to display fine

Any ideas?

Thanks
