Code Fix: Task notifications get stuck in the drafts folder

Issue Description

Task Notifications are getting stuck in the drafts folder in Microsoft Exchange intermittently, an error then occurs in the host server log.

Error Message:

The following error occurs in the host server log:

“SourceCode.MessageBus.EwsDestination: Email Send Falied, Error: Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceResponseException: The operation can't be performed because the item is out of date. Reload the item and try again”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.

Considerations

After applying this Fix Pack, you will need to apply the below for the fix to take effect:

  1. Open the ConnectionStringEditor.exe located in [Install folder]\Host Server\Bin\
  2. Change the SaveEmail value for SourceCode.MessageBus.EwsExchangeWebservicesDestinaiton (form address) to true.
  3. Save the connection string.
  4. Restart the server.
