Code Fix: Mail Events with attachments not working as expected

Issue Description

When you have a Mail Event with an attachment, it fails to send, the Workflow goes into an error state and an error occurs from Microsoft Exchange Web Services.

Error Message:

The following Microsoft Exchange Web Services error occurs:

“The operation can't be performed because the item is out of date. Reload the item and try again.”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

• K2 Five (5.6) Fix Pack 39.
• Nintex Automation (5.7) Fix Pack 13.

1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
4. It is recommended to clear browser cache and refresh the page.

Considerations:

After installing this fix pack, the following needs to be completed for the fix to take effect:

1. Open the ConnectionStringEditor.exe located in [Install folder]\Host Server\Bin\
2. Change the SaveEmail value for SourceCode.MessageBus.EwsExchangeWebservicesDestinaiton (form address) to true.
3. Save the connection string.
4. Restart the server.
