In this video we will look at how to use the SharePoint Online – Update Item Permissions action, in Nintex Workflow Cloud
, to set individual permissions on a SharePoint list item for users and groups. As an example, this action can help in a scenario where you have a SharePoint list designed to store electronic asset information and ownership for your organization. Then from within that list you have a requirement to limit individual item access only to asset owners, their managers, and perhaps the IT Department when the list item is created or ownership changes.
Instructions
You will need to have a SharePoint Online Connection setup with the Site Administration authentication method in order for the Update Item Permissions action to work correctly. This type of connection lets your workflow connect to your SharePoint site with an account that has access to update list item permissions.
