Hi Nintex community,

I have an approval task list for HR team. It has around 9,000 task items. I was in the impression that the “Workflow Auto Cleanup” timer job will delete the Tasks that are completed in 60 days. For some reason it is not working as expected.

I have checked the Workflow Association Auto cleanup days for each workflow and it is all set to 60 days. May I please request your assistance in resolving the above issue.

Thank you

Regards,

JJ

Hi @JJay

The Workflow Auto Cleanup job should have removed the completed or cancelled workflows as per MS articles:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/office/sharepoint-server-2010/ee662522(v=office.14)?redirectedfrom=MSDN

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/ahmedamin/sharepoint-workflow-auto-cleanup

If you suspect this isn't working correctly, then you may wish to open a ticket with MS to troubleshoot this native Sharepoint job.

In the meantime, you can create a new tasklist and associate this with any newly started workflows.

As described here: https://community.nintex.com/t5/How-To/Creating-A-New-Workflow-Task-List/ta-p/87434

Regards,

Sumit
