In this month’s user spotlight blog, we’re talking to Simon Muntz (SimonMuntz), a Senior Instructional Designer at Nintex.

Simon Muntz

What is your current role, and how long have you been with Nintex?

I have been with Nintex for nine years and seven months.  My current position is a Senior Instructional Designer on the Customer Enablement team, which I have been doing for around a year and four months.  Before that, I was a Senior Engineer in Nintex Support. I have been in IT for about 16 years but have always been interested in computers.

Which Nintex Product are you most passionate about and why?

I have always liked Nintex’s workflow products, so I like the newest offering of Nintex Automation Cloud the most. Its ability to interact with many applications makes it the Swiss Army knife of the automation world.

What do you enjoy most about answering Community questions?

I enjoyed helping Nintex customers while in support, so the community is just an extension of that help. Nintex Community is also a great place to share ideas.  I like seeing users helping each other with their experiences.

Is there any advice you would give to users learning Nintex?

As a Senior Instructional Designer for Nintex University, I will suggest it as the first port of call. Also, get your feet wet by experimenting in a test environment. There is nothing like hands-on experience.

What's one thing — either industry-related or not — you learned in the last month?

Last month, I spent a week in a remote village in a third-world country.  I learned that freedom comes at a cost. Rules/laws are mostly there to preserve human life; without them, you live dangerously.

What's something about you that not many people know?

My hobby is working on cars.  I can do both mechanical and electrical work. I don’t care if it’s just installing a dash cam in your mum’s car or working on the intake of a racing car.  It’s all fun for me.

Simon is always helping in the community. He has been very helpful with my questions as they relate to Nintex Automation Cloud.

Thanks, Simon, for all that you do there at Nintex. It’s greatly appreciated. :)
