In this month’s user spotlight blog, we’re talking to Evgenios Efthymiou (EvgeniosE), Product Manager at Nintex.

Evgenios Efthymiou

What is your current role, how long have you worked at Nintex, and your career background?

I am one of the Product Managers for Process Manager. I joined Nintex in February 2024 (~8 months ago). Background wise I studied Mechanical Engineering and worked as a Production Engineer and a Business Process Analyst within the Automotive Industry around Product Data Management, before moving to developing digital solutions as a Product Manager.

Which Nintex Product are you most passionate about and why?

Process Manager, because it's something I would have loved to have in my Business Process Analyst days. Maybe though I am biased because our Product team is responsible for it.

What do you enjoy most about answering Community questions?

As a Product Manager I have many ways to drive change in my product, but primarily that comes from enabling your team delivering the best product possible and helping our users have the best experience possible. However, when I am answering Community questions I feel I am helping someone directly!

Is there any advice you would give to users learning Nintex?

Be kind to yourself! There is a lot of functionality to learn when you first start that it might feel overwhelming. Keep following the Nintex University courses and trying things out and you'll soon be an expert. And if you are ever stuck be sure to reach out to the Nintex Community!

What's one thing — either industry-related or not — you learned in the last month?

As most tech professionals, I have been learning more about AI. The key take-away for me is that AI is not a silver bullet, but rather a very versatile tool. As a Product Manager, I learned that the solutions that have the most success are the ones that first think how the user is integrated in the value chain and how the AI is used second, rather than blindly injecting AI everywhere.

What's something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?

I met Ian McKellan (A.K.A. Gandalf) in his pub the Grapes in London UK, where he was the Quizmaster for that week's pub quiz. My team did so bad in the first round, we were told "You shall not pass!" Best day ever!
