If I understand the question correctly, you want to take a date like 9/22/2022, and only insert the 22.

To do this you need to used the middleware (an excel file). 

1. You will used the field tagger to find the data tag you want to bring in. 

   

    

2. Name a range in the excel file as the tag. 
3. Then you will need to format that cell as a date. (My team does this all with color codes for clarity.)

   

    

4. Generate a new range which refers to the new cell, and use that new range as the tag for your Word template.

   

5. Remember when you past the range in your Word Template you will need to add « ».  It will look like «Outgoing_Date».
