Categories in Management - How to give specific permissions / access

Hi, Since we can now do the same functionalities in management as we could do using the smartobject tester tool, we want to give developers access to the "categories" are inside management console.How can we give them access to the categories folder? Can't find that option anywhere. The Security part that appears has the default set to Allow Everyone to view,modify,execute and delete (but not to access security). Thanks and regards,Joao

Opinions on allowing external access to K2 SmartForms

I'd like to know how common it is for people to allow anonymous external access to K2 SmartForms. We have a number of solutions running on our K2 servers. Some are really important to our company and hold important and private information. It feels like a risk to allow external web access to the same server that runs our SmartForms and workflow designers as well as other K2 forms that are meant for internal people only. If I'm understanding it correctly, the only thing stopping people from seeing those other forms or hitting the designers is K2's application security, based on our corporate AD group. Is this risky? If anyone knows of any documentation about options or how this works architecturally, could you please give me the links?

K2 Five for SharePoint: App Registration Wizard Error: RESPONSENULL

I am trying to install the K2 for SharePoint app on a SharePoint 2016 installation I've got everything working except for when I run the registration wizard where I get an error like this:Anyone ever experience this before?

Where is the API Key stored for REST Services

Des anyone know where you put the API key for the for the API you are trying to connect to?  I don't see a place for it when creating a REST instance in K2 Cloud Management and it doesn't look like it goes in the swagger file.  I watched a video on how to configure REST api for K2 cloud.  It talked about using an API key but didn't say where it goes.

K2 Five Management>Users>Roles

Why are there still no filter options in the Role view in K2 Five Management. This makes it very difficult to manage a large number of roles without access to the old Workspace site.

Missing Reference at SmartObjectField: error: Item has already been added.

Workflow error, I cannot deploy. Missing Reference at SmartObjectField: error: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'Status' key added: 'Status'. Stack Location: K2Process 'SRTS'  Stack end. I keep on changing my SMO, I also did refresh my instance to SQL but still no luck. for your guidance.

K2 Five - How to create a duplicate of an existing Workflows

Hi guys,I created a complex workflow 1 which runs with about 20 different user tasks which all refer to a form A (different admin groups performing the same task). Now I want to have a workflow 2 which is to 90% identical to workflow 1, having about 20 different user tasks wich all refer to a form B. The difference of the form is mainly the header data and the tasks form itself. Is there a way to create a copy of the existing workflow under another name (e.g. like the save as for forms or views) and use it K2 Five Designer? Many thanks,Christian

Pass an AutoGUID to a workflow

Hi  I am generating a an AutoGUID from SQL but need to pass this GUID to a workflow, when I try to pass the GUID to the workflow I am getting a conversion error. do I need to convert it before the workflow starts or can I do some conversion in the workflow itself?

Migration of K2 4.7 workflow to K2 Five

Hi Team, We are in plan of migrating K2 4.7 workflow to K2 five to be in support model. what are the possibilities of migrating old workflow to k2 five version? Do I have to recreate all from scratch? or is there any migration tool available in K2? Thanks in advance! Regards!

How to configure Oracle ORDS OAuth 2 on K2 5.2

Hi All, I am having some difficulty configuring an Oracle ORDS OAuth resource and require some insight as to how the OAuth authentication model works, I have read through the K2 documentation but its not clear to me how the Authenctication Code model would work for K2. I have the Authorization URL, I have configured all the parameters (tested and confimed with Postman calls) but when I try to use the configured OAuth I get the following message:  When clicking OK it redirects me to a login page with the parameters in the URL being correct. I log in and it then redirects to a url with the Auth code back into Oracle and not to K2 as expected. I have the following documentaiton from Oracle regarding the Autherization Code approach:OAuth 2 : Authorization CodeThe authorization code flow is a three-legged process. The user accesses a URL in a browser, which prompts for credentials. Once authenticated, the browser is redirected to a specified page with an authhorization code as one of the pa

workflow already open

When im creating / editing workflows on a daily basis my browser crashes and when I try to get back into the workflow , I ge the message "the workflow is already open in another tab . switch to that tab to continue" , Does any one know how to unlock the workflow wth out restatring the K2 service ??

Reinstalling Five after an upgrade with existing 4.7 workflows

We have an environment with 4.7 workflows that we've upgraded to Five. We use the Visual Studio plugin to maintain those workflows. We are aware that we have to install the 4.7 client tools first and upgrade them to Five to maintain those workflows if we have a new client machine. Is that true for the server? If we want to install an entirely fresh new K2 Five environment and deploy our apps to it, do we have to start with 4.7 and upgrade that to 5.2? Another way of asking the question: could we do a fresh install of Five and point it to our upgraded 4.7 to 5.2 database and expect the legacy workflows to work?

Workflow Error meaningless source description

Hi Im trying to desk my workflows , and I when my workflow goes into error the line item displaysidinst idprocessnamesource :- the source is just displayinga system generated entry like task 1 1 1 1 1 this is useless in determine the actual task in error , cant we get the error to display the actual name of the step in error

upgrade steps from K2 Five to 5.2

We're going to start upgrading to K2 5.2. I was wondering if anyone had experienced any issues, as well as if you all have any input on the recommended steps to take to ensure a smooth transition.

Environment Libraries and String Tables in K2 Five

I don't suppose there is an updated version of this whitepaper? https://help.k2.com/en/environmentlibrary_whitepaper.aspx In particular I'm looking for best practices in K2 Five since how string tables work seems to have changed some. It's still not clear to me what all the changes are and the impact of the changes.

Workflow to send PDF and TXT File to network share

Looking for some help to do the following:After Form is submit -> generate a PDF & a TXT File that holds key 'meta data' / 'values' linked to that PDF  -> send these files to a Network Share Folder  allowing a different software program to go to that network share, grab the files and then upload it accordingly. I know how to use the Generate PDF function and save the data into a SmartObject. I'm looking for guidance on1)  sending a PDF Copy to the network share2)  creating a TXT File and saving to that same network share (either creating a stored procedure to run & query a table & then create that txt file or something) Hopefully this makes sense.  I've seen a few forum posts with the same needs but nobody has responded yet.

K2 Smart Form in mobile application is not responsive

I'm attempting to emulate a mobile form and can't seem to find where the 'responsive' piece is coming from. I put my form to a straight 1 column on all of my views and am using the Blue Void ( the Responsive Theme) on the Form.  The controls don't seem to respond however to the size (text boxes flow past edge of screen) Any recommendations on Mobile? Layouts? Form Properties?  The documentation seems a little slim. Does mobile responsive themes ONLY work in the workspace?  And does it only function properly if your on an actually phone? See Attachments.

Picker control event lifecycle

Looking for what the difference is between the set and populated events of the picker control in 4.6.11/4.7, and the order of events in the lifecycle of the control (for example, I understand the populated event occurs when resolving is completed, but I don't know where set fits in). Thanks and best,Tony

Task Actions option "Make the action available without opening the work item"

pre 2 5 the workflow designer supported the option to disable / enable task actions beiing actioned in the K2 Worklist / Can someopne tell me if and how this option is supported in K2 5 or has it been depreciated.

Is there a Save As feature for K2 5 on Premise?

We have created a new K2 5 workflow that we have deployed. It got deployed under the wrong category and we are trying to figure out how to move it to the right category. (Workflow to HR) You would think this would be an easy thing to do but we can't figure out how. The documentation references a Save As feature but that appears to only exist currently in the K2 5 Cloud Version, update 7.  Is that not available in k2 5.2 yet? If not, how do we move it there?Notice in my test, there is no Save As option. Thanks

web service endpoint authentication

Hello to all K2 masters.I am trying to add a webservice broker to K2 five,thing is my web service require somthing called authenticationMode="UserNameOverTransport" which basically means that you need to authenticate before you can see the WSDL or the methods.i guess that is the reason i get VALIDATIONInvalid WebService WSDL error.is there a way around it? maybe loading the wsdl as a file? thank alot.

Dynamically set child workflow folio from Main Workflow

Hi, I am trying to create Multiple sub workflows from the Main workflow. We are using a Get List from SmartObject to identify the number of sub workflows. What i would like to do is set the Folio of the Sub workflow from the values from the SmartObject dynamically based on the ID and other properties.
