I was just informed by one of our workflow designers that this is indeed not a function currently in the K2 5.2 workflow designer. You, however, have an option to hide/un-hide the workflow task from the designer by navigating to the task and click on the "eye" Icon.
Alternatively, you can implement this functionality by using a button on a form to take the item out of the worklist and insert it again if needed.
