Nintex Workflow For Sharepoint Attachments

Hello Community, i am working on a project with nintex for sharepoint 2019 // working with classic Forms i have a state machine with approvals on each step i'll have to show the intial form in every step to be approved, i need to show the the attachments uploaded in the trigger form on every approval form , how to acheive that please.? Thank You

K2 Five PDF Converter Smart Object Error - Cannot Deploy

I am trying to add the `PDF Converter` SmartObject to my workflow. It's method is `Create PDF from URL` and all of the input mappings set. Output mapping is set to a text variable (PDF_ID). At this point I try to deploy the workflow but I get the following error:Missing reference at SmartObjectField . Error: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: systemName. Stack Location: K2Process `wfTelecommute` > Stack End. Can someone make sense out of this error and provide the steps needed to resolve? ThanksBob

Repeating a keyboard Command a specific number of times

Is there a way in RPA to send a Keyboard command a certain number of times, in this case the certain number of times is a variable. For example, I would like to send [^Up] 4 times because the variable is 4.  What I have used in other RPA's is [^Up 4] (exchanging out the 4 for the variable) but this doesn't seem to work in Nintex. [^Up][^Up][^Up][^Up] this works but it isn't variable each time, which is really what I need to action.  Thanks ahead of time for helping.

Help - Hiding two choice controls based on the amount of participants and eachother

Hello Nintex Community,I need a little help with some logic on one of the Sharepoint Nintex Forms. I've created an approval process that gets sent from participant to participant to either someone's emails(Participant1, 2, 3, etc - PeoplePicker field) or a team's email bin(TeamMailbox1, 2, 3, etc - List Lookup field) with a maximum of 10. Once the participants open the form they have two choices. P5choice, ParticipantsFull (screenshot below)- P5choice: Values (Next, Previous, Delegate, Reject, OPI)- ParticipantsFull: Values (Next, Reject) I want P5choice to be visible as long as Participant10 is empty and TeamMailbox10 is empty, this way MORE participants can be added.I want P5choice to stay visible if participant 10 wasn't reached until after they answered(during participants 6, 7, 8, 9, etc.) I want ParticipantsFull to be visible only if ALL 10 participant slots are taken up, this way NO MORE participants can be added. I'm pretty sure the logic for Hiding ParticipantFull is good( isN

Assign a task, but to no one person in particular (?)

So here's my conundrum. I'm trying to design a lost-and-found form that allows a user to enter data about a lost item, which then writes over to a list in SharePoint Online. When the lost item is disposed of (returned to its owner, thrown away, etc.), the SPO list item needs to be updated with the new information about when and how the lost item was taken care of.That seems simple enough. Seems like a form > Create item in SPO > Assign a task > Update item in SPO. But the problem is that there is no one specific to whom the task should be assigned. Any employee in the given location can potentially be the one to update the information, just as any employee can be the one to enter the original information. And we have approximately 30 locations for which this is the case. I don't want to assign the task to multiple parties because, of course, that type of task requires specific users to be named - an administrative nightmare in this case. Extract text right of @ character

Hi, In Nintex forms i have a control which is connected to a person or group field. For a given email address, e.g. "john.smith@hello.co.uk" how could I extract the text after the "@" Which, in this case would be "@hello.co.uk". should i use calculated value control? Any ideas? Thanks

Workflow stuck in status Running although child-worflow is complete | possible Time Service problem?

There is a workflow which is stuck in status [Running] and does not complete.Within the main workflow, there is a child-workflow which needs to be compled before continuing. The child-workflow has already finished and is complete.However, the main workflow is still running since few days. Is there a way to 'push' the main workflow to continue ?Why did this happen anyway? Is this a Timer Service problem?I am not familiar checking logs about TimerService etc. not sure how to.Would the workflow automatically continue to work if the Timer Service is restarted?Besides there is a Recycle Time Service running everyday; would that not restart it?Importantly, would restarting the Timer Service have a chain-reaction on other instances? Would it cause any problems or stop 1000's of workflows? What is it's negative impact? Cheers

Nintex Workflow- Web Request Action (proxy)

Hello Nintex Community,  When using the workflow action "Web Request", does any one know what this action uses for a proxy? Is it using the default proxy, the proxy from the SharePoint web.config, or a custom proxy?  Just to give a little information about my SharePoint environment:  SharePoint Server 2013 on premisesNintex Workflow 2013 (3.1.6) #NintexWorkFlow #WebRequest

Publish Nintex Workflow Programmatically with Development assigned use

Hello, We are using Nintex Workflow for SharePoint 2016 with subscription license.We are having a staging concept where a workflow is developed and tested on non-production sites. To move to a different stage we use Release pipeline that runs scripts that deploy the workflow to on the different stages. In our case we use the Nintex SOAP service to publish the NWF, we use method PublishFromNWF however the workflows are always published as Production. We need a method that will allow us to programmatically publish workflow and allow us to specify the assigned use so that we are able to set Development on the non-production environments. Looking at the Web Service reference I am unable to find such method, there is PublishWorkflow and PublishWorkflow2 method, the PublishWorkflow is internal API that also does not have this option but PublishWorkflow2 has it however I am not sure if we can use it and what the value for activityConfigs should be. hi, I have two multi select lookup controls in my Nintex form and I want the functionality that when I select the choice from first multiselect control then it will automatically select the same value to second lookup multiselect control using jQuery. Is that possible to do like this.

Hi,Is there any out of box report, which could give the data of all the instances of a particular report, with all the data field values? In short, I need the data audit log of the instances in one report. I am not looking for just the process instances, i need the data audit for every instance in a report. As of now, i am clicking on the data audit by going to each instance manually.Thanks,Pradeep

call a web service error "certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate)"

Hello Nintex Community! I put in a ticket for this issue but I am not sure when specifically they will get back to me but did anybody have trouble using the "call a web service" and getting this error below:SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=error: certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate) I tested using this api on the vendor's swagger, postman, and soapui. Is this something that someone else encountered before as well? If not, this might be a nintex cloud thing then?

Text search for a lookup field

I have a Nintex form in SP 2016. It has a lookup field. Want to create a Text search for it.  The user shall enter a few words and hit enter on the Text box (which will be a field in the list). That should filter the values in the lookup field - a drop down control, which is tied to a lookup field in the list.   Please guide me thru the steps? Thanks.   Mayank

Remove user for multiple people column

I have multiple list who are suppose to work together, but mainly two. One is a calendar and the other one a subscription list. On the subscription list, the people are coming to subscribe onto Events on the calendar lists. I was able to get to add people to the event, but in the case that i am working right is the fact to able to cancel one of the subscription on a separate worflow. So... my problem is how to be able to remove one of the people who subscribe into an event - into a column which is named - Participants, with multiple people. I'm able to query the column into my subscription list and then with regular expression, im able to remove only the tockens from the column, which gives me back nothing / an empty column at the end.

Create a word or PDF document from data within a form

Is there a way for a workflow to create a PDF or Word document from content within a form?  So I have Nintex for Sharepoint 2016 (on Prem).  Is there a way for the workflow to create an actual PDF or Word Document of the form.  I have the ability to actually go into the form and click on the button "Print to PDF".  However in our process, that would add a step. It isn't a very long step, but when you are dealing with hundreds of these documents a day that step is a bit cumbersome. We'd prefer the form already be generated once it arrives at the last step.  It would make some folks very happy

Workflow failed to run error

Hello everyone! I am having an issue with Lazy Approval since the SharePoint servers, in our farm, were patched with July 2021 CU. We are on SP 2016 on-prem. The issue is, when an user tries to approve/reject a task through Lazy Approval, the workflow errors out and the user get "Workflow_Name failed to run" email. The same works fine if the users go to the SharePoint approval page to either approve or reject the task. Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Thanks!

Create a new item from edit mode

I have a Nintex form in SP 2016. I want to allow the user to create a new list item from the edit mode. example:   1. User creates a new item in the list using Nintex form. 2. User edits the item. 3. While the user is editing, the user can click on a button (Copy Item). By doing so a new record should be created and should have all field values that the user filled out. Nothing should be saved to the existing form (existing ID).   Is that possible.   Thanks.   Mayank

For Loop to Update Each Item in a List

All,I need to run a workflow one time to iterate through all items in a list and update one column in every item. I am simply trying to copy the value from a calculated column (which returns currency) to another column of type currency. (I apparently have to do this in order to be able to sum the column using SharePoint's group and sum features.) My user wants to be able to see the sum of the column. The For Each loop seems to be working correctly. I am storing the Item IDs in a collection and looping through the collection. However I keep getting the "Coercion Failed: Unable to transform the input lookup data into the requested type." error.  Here is my Update Item within the loop. Could you please tell me if I've got this wrong? It I get rid of the loop and just trigger the workflow on item edit, it works. But the list is too large to update one item at a time. Thanks!

Process Originator is SP2019 Web App pool account, instead of the user which submited InfoPath form

We are in a process of migration from Claim-less SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019 with Claims. Unfortunately, we need to use InfoPath for the time being. Initial form for K2 process is browser enabled InfoPath form, uploaded on SharePoint 2019 Web App. Form was transferred from SharePoint 2013 Web App, which had Windows authentication enabled (we didn’t use Claims on that site). After fixing the issue with K2 process Originator being shown as K2:NT AUTHORITYIUSR (really appreciate help received here https://community.nintex.com/t5/K2-Five-Forum/Process-Originator-showing-K2-NT-AUTHORITY-IUSR-instead-of-user/td-p/207025), now I get SharePoint 2019 Web application App pool account displayed as process Originator. I would really need to get user who filled out the form displayed as process Originator (as in pre-Claims version). Can anybody help me with this? Thank you in advance!

Workflow Designer button missing from List actions

Nintex Workflow button is missing from the list actions and I'm unable to launch the WF designer to create a list workflow. Is there anything I have to active/restart/enable, after adding the WF app from the Sharepoint Store so that this button appears?I've also installed Nintex Forms and I do have the designer button visible in the list of actions, however the Workflow designer button is missing.

Need help building my site workflow to update list item

I have a SharePoint list built by someone else with a blank text field titles "manager" I am trying to build a site workflow to automatically go through each record look at the "name" field  ( people picker) then update the "manager" field with the manager name listed in the person User Profile. We DO NOT HAVE the query user profile action available. I was able to build a list workflow to do this successfully by setting up the "update item" action to have manager equals user profile and the value is the name of the person listed in the "name" field.  I dont want to use a workaround by setting the list workflow to run on modified, then create a 2nd workflow to update all items when a record is modified which will change all records and then "kick off" the first workflow but it will be a never ending cycle and not the most efficient way to do this. I am unsure how to build this as a site workflow so far what I did was 1) Query list action:List name "old list" Selected the field "ID" and

Create a Duplicate list item in the same SharePoint list

I created a Nintex form in SP 2016. This is what I want to achieve. The user edits a list item.I want to display a check box or a command button called, "Copy Item."When the user clicks on "Copy Item", I want the workflow to duplicate the list item into the same list it was created in with a different ID #. Thanks. Mayank
