Invalid Path error

Hi Nintex community, I'm getting an issue where some instances are failing and throwing the following error:  400 - "BadRequest: Message: Invalid path. Paths must begin with a '/' and end with the name of the resource.. CorrelationId: (f2caaa4a-3313-4c2a-a417-41bb148b3cc4_1_1)" The CorrelationId is different each time. I dug into the workflow actions related to the failed instances and nothing seems to be wrong with it; these branches of the workflow have worked perfectly up until today. 5 of the last 6 instances submitted have failed with this error; one went through just fine. How can I solve this? Thanks in advance.

What if I want commas in my Choice-Single options?

So I have a Choice - Single field on my form, and the choices are supposed to be dollar amounts: $2,000, $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000. Of course the Options are comma-separated, so if I put those commas in the dollar amounts, my choices come out as:$2 000 $5 000And so on. Is there a way of setting these options the way I want? I guess I could create a list in SharePoint Online and do a Data lookup for it, but it seems kinda awkward to create such a small list for one little purpose. Thanks. P.S. I know, of course, that I can create the options without the commas in them, but I just don't like the way it looks for those amounts (especially the $10,000 and $20,000 options).

Connection string format for connecting to a SQL Server db that resides within a VM

I'm trying to figure out the connection string format for connecting to a SQL Server db that resides within a VM. Not a SQL Azure db. The VM is out in Azure, but it is not a SQL Azure db. (This post however is very descriptive in describing what is needed for SQL Azure: https://community.nintex.com/t5/Community-Blogs/Creating-Microsoft-SQL-Server-Connection-to-SQL-Azure-from/bc-p/119768 ) Normally, within my network in SQL Mgmt Studio I simply use ServerNameInstance such as DAVE2019DEV1. This format used to work when I used Nintex on prem within SharePoint, but that doesn't work in Nintex Workflow Cloud, I get "This field has an invalid format". I am getting here by choosing "Connections" menu, Add new: Connector: Microsoft SQL Server. The "Configure a Connection" popup box appears. I fill in the 5 fields but the "Database Host" field is where I'm getting the invalid format error, (in red just underneath the text box I type into). I followed the instructions in https://help.nintex.com/

Querying a SharePoint List and exporting it to Excel?

Hello, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to generate an excel document that contains the queried SharePoint list results? I am trying to make a form where a user can request to have the whole SharePoint list exported to excel or grab specific rows from the list based on a search form and have that exported as a spreadsheet.  I tried to see if I could add a document trigger for the collections variable to the excel document for generation but that doesn't seem to be possible. That might make sense though since the queried results could vary as it could be pulling 1 row to as many as 100 rows from the SharePoint list. I know SharePoint also has a built in option to export the whole list to Excel document and I am also curious if there is anyway Nintex can call that option in SharePoint. Thanks in advance.

Show hide controls based on a list value

we have SharePoint list where we want to configure which field should be shown or not for a group of cascading drop down. We have three Look up controls 1. Product Line, 2.Category 3. Service Type. We also have a list to configure which field on the form should be shown or not based on these 3 look up field combination.Now how can we read this configuration list and show or hide form fieds.With Nintex office 365 we could achieve this using lookup function and variable. NWC doesn't have lookup function nor returns DataLook up control as an object.

Document Generation - Nintex Workflow Cloud - Get OneDrive File Link

Hi there Folks,   Am using Nintex Workflow Cloud Document Generation action to create a PDF which is then saved in a folder in OneDrive.   Does anyone know how to retrieve the link to the file saved using the Document Generation action? Form iframe not appearing properly

First-time poster here. We have a Nintex form on https://www.constructiverenovations.com/vendor-application/ which, until recently (although I don't know exactly when), was working fine. This is a WordPress-based site and the embed code is in a simple HTML widget in the Elementor page editor. The iframe now won't assume its normal full height and, instead, cuts off after only about 160 pixels. I have tested the same code with other pages in the test version of the site and get the same bad result; yet, the embed code works fine within a plain-vanilla HTML page (i.e., outside the WordPress setup). We've made no CSS or other changes that would account for this disparity. Would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Is there a Document generation SharePoint connector?

I wonder if there is a SharePoint connector for NWC to be used in DocGen? We're not Box users and the only option I see is for OneDrive4B. Am I missing something or should I enter this as a request on UserVoice?Just like in NW365 I'd like to store the output file in a document library on a SP site.Thanks for your reply.

Sharepoint on prem- nwc

In my Company we have a corrective actions nintex form and approval workflow in SP on-prem. We need some external users to access and complete the form. Our SP is an internal environment.   Would there be any way to integrate NWC with on-prem to share with external contacts and pass back the info to save in on-prem? Any similar scenarios, information are appreciated.

NWC Updates Managed Metadata in SP Lists but not in Document Libraries

Pretty please, tell me someone has a solution for this. I've figured out how to update managed metadata in SP lists (most of the time - it's a little temperamental), but I absolutely cannot get those exact same columns to update on a library. This is driving me nuts. Please help.

NWC Dynamics 365 Record Limit

Is there an artificial limit of 500 records allowed in a query to Dynamics 365?  I am working with a Contacts list that includes 1500+ records, but NWC is returning a query result that there are only 500...

Unable to create NWC eXtension for AWS S3 API

Dear all, I am new to AWS. I am trying to connect to AWS S3 API using Nintex Xtensions. I have tried the following and require your help. Tried to connect to Aws S3 via API. Made a successful attempt using Postman Could not continue further as AWS requires “AWS Signature” which doesn’t seem to be possible with NWC As I am not an AWS expert I did some research and understood that if I create a Proxy using API Gateway then I can connect to AWS without “AWS Signature”. So,  Created a proxy for S3 API in S3 Gateway Made a successful attempt using Postman Downloaded the Swagger file that AWS provided and uploaded to NWC as extension & created required connections When calling the method from NWC I get an error, as attached. I have tried all variants of Swagger and nothing seem to work and the error message is quite vague. Has anyone connected to AWS S3 before? Is this is supported? I am attaching the two swagger files that I used (one with AWS and another with AWS API Gateway)

Generate Document Failed

Hello, I am using ''Generate Documents'' action in my workflow, but when I test the workflow, the process showed the error when run "Generate Documents". Here's the error message: 404 - {"error":{"code":"NOT.FOUND","message":"The requested resource could not be found","correlationId":"8e107870-0826-4abe-b6af-959abb8255f6_1_1"}} I checked my setting, seems no problem. Does any one have this problem like me? Please help advice, thanks. I attached some photos to help you better understand.

Run If True Problems

Hi,  Nintex novice here - hoping someone may be able to help.  I have a questionnaire form setup with various answers.  I have a hidden boolean group which based on answer would populate.  ie. If Single Choice Contracts Manager drop down = Mr Smith then the Boolean for Mr Smith is true then within the workflow I have several run if true actions saying if Mr Smith boolean is true then email mrsmith@work.com  Or if Mr Green, Mr Green is true and email mrgreen@work.com and so on. There is about 6 options in total.  The whole thing works perfect if I keep the boolean group visible but as soon as I hide it from the published form view the workflow no longer sends the email to the Contracts Manager.  Does anyone know where I am going wrong?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks  Stacey

Anyway to resize responsive Nintex form?

Hello,   Is there any way to resize the whole Nintex form in the form designer (specifically the width)? It seems like that the form width cannot be adjusted. I looked in some past posts for Nintex for O365 and they said that you cannot. Not sure if the same goes for Workflow Cloud.   If that is the case, I wonder if this may be implemented in the future.

Query Data from Excel?

Hello,   I was wondering if there is any way to grab data from existing Excel worksheets and import that into Nintex Workflow Cloud? I see there are a few ways in other Nintex workflow environments such as Sharepoint and Office 365 but not sure about Workflow Cloud.    The data that I will primarily be working with is organized in Excel and is like a table and I need a way to query that data and also be able to manipulate and save that data back into the same worksheet if possible. I see that there is Query Excel Services but not sure if that is available for Nintex Workflow Cloud.   I see that some have mentioned that the only way would be using a database for that for Workflow Cloud but not sure if that is 100% true.   Thanks in advance.

Get a list field value from 'Query a list' Object variable

This should surely be a simple task, but since the recent change to the Object model I've found no easy way. I have a list with 2x columns: a city code (SYD, MEL, etc) and an email. Each row on the list has a unique city code. The goal is to enter a city code and then have the WF query the list and pull back the corresponding email and store it in a variable. This was super simple prior to the change to the Object model. I won't go over that however; I'll explain what I see now. Add a Query a List action: set the conditions to only pull back results where the Code on the form matches the Code on the list. The output is an Object: a special kind of collection that includes number of items returned, a sub-collection of Item IDs and a sub-Collection of the Items themselves (that includes al fields). Now I know the Object has a single Item - but how do you extract column 2 (email) from that Item? You can't use 'Get item from collection': you can set that to look at the sub-collection of It

NWC Sharepoint online intermittent "unauthorized" failures

Has anyone encountered random "unauthorized" failures in executing simple NWC-to-Sharepoint tasks? I stripped down a more complex workflow to its Sharepoint calls, and it is unpredictably and intermittently failing at different steps.There doesn't appear to be an error with the connection to my sharepoint site collectionI'm perplexed and looking for guidance.  Is there a setting on the Office365 side that I need to change?  Thanks,Adamadam@cherrillconsulting.com

SharePoint Online - Create an item - person column can't set a value

I'm having problems in NWC with the SharePoint online - create an item action when I try to set a value for a person column.I've created a NWC form with anonymous access. The scenario is an org with lots of casual and contract staff who do not have corporate user accounts, they will select a managers email from a data lookup control.I have a data connection to Azure Active Directory as the source for a 'Manager' data lookup control on the form.This return the email address for the user from Azure AD. I added a SharePoint Online create an item action.This is configured against a list in a SharePoint online site.This list has a person type column called manager. When I try to insert a value against the person field all the start event options are greyed out. Next step I thought was to add an action 'SharePoint Online - Query User Profile'. This takes the email from the form and will put the user details into an object variable. However when I go back to the create an item and select the

Retrieve an item and Query a list action - Doesn't support Insert variables

Hi, My requirement is I have to query a SharePoint online list and retrieve an  item . The site URL is dynamic and will change based on user's input collected in Nintex form.when  I try to configure the new "Query a list " action , I can see an Insert variable option available for site URL but if we insert a variable the output object is not returning the properties. The same is happening for "Retrieve an item" action.  In the release notes it is mentioned that " Inserting variables to the SharePoint Online site URL and List name fields are not supported."  . I wonder then why the insert option is provided for these actions.Please let me know if I am missing anything or is there a way I can pass the URL dynamically for both the actions. Thank you for your help. Kind Regards,Meena R

Update Items not updating based on List Item ID

Hi All, This might be a basic question but it is not working for me.I am using the new "update items" action in my workflow . The site Url is dynamic and I am passing it in a variable (varSiteURL) . I wanted to update the item based on the "ID" of the item which is created in the previous step of the workflow.when I enter the complete URL (if not using the variable) , I am able to set the condition based on the "ID" .But the same is not working if I pass the site url as variable. Please help me if I am missing anything here.Also I am able to publish the workflow with this error but the workflow instance is not created when I submit my form . Is there a expiration date for Form URL??

Hello, there. I was wondering if any of you know the answer of the following question. I was using "Assign a task" action, and I chose form based, I've already designed the form, and I want to send the form URL to people to collect their information, but this may take a long time. So I was wondering if there's a expiration date for this Form URL? If yes, then I could make a note in my email to notify people. Thank you!

Any way to omit the time portion of DateTime and anyway to restrict future dates?

Hello,   I am trying to setup a DateTime field where the initiator would enter the Date but not the time. In the form options, I can hide the time but the time is still technically included but set to at 12AM. Is there any way to remove the time so I only have the date? My workflow is a bit more complicated where the DateTime value from the initial form is copied to a new form later in the workflow that someone else fills out and they will see the time included.    Also, when at the document generation stage, is there any way to omit the time for the document tags? I look at the drop down list and there are no choices where I can have only just the date.   My other issue is trying to restrict future dates in the forms. There is an option to restrict past dates but no option to restrict future dates. There might be a way to do it via form rules but it seems to be a glitchy workaround but I may need to experiment more. Wondering if there might be any future updates to add an option to re

Questions regarding failed workflows

Hello,   I was wondering if there is anyway to capture the data submitted in subsequent forms (such as the approval stage)? Also, is there any way to auto restart a failed workflow with the same captured initial data (initial form) or would you need to manually start the workflow and resubmit the information through the start form?   Thanks.

Add an image on public form

I have created a public form on Nintex Workflow Cloud.  We need to brand the form with our Company logo on each page (form has 5 individual pages for the client to tab through).  However, since it is a public form, I don't know where to store the image.  Is there any way to embed it in the form?  I saw a post from a few years ago that suggested storing the image on a public website and using that URL.  We don't really have anything that is public that can store images.  The form is using our SharePoint online connection to a list.  Does anyone have any other ideas?  Thanks!
