NWC Task Active even after workflow has been terminated.

I have a NWC workflow that sends assigned a Task / Form to an external user.  The task is essentially a survey to a customer.   If the user/customer does not respond by a certain date, the workflow terminates.  Prior to workflow termination the task sends an initial reminder and subsequent reminder.    However what we have found is that the workflow termination does not terminate /complete the task so the task goes rouge / loops and continues to send emails to customers, however the customers cannot complete the task because the workflow is now terminated.   This sounds like a bug to me and I have a case opened with Nintex, however I was wondering if anyone else has a solution to cancel the Active tasks that are associated with workflow that is terminated / complete.

"Task successfully completed"

How do you change the words "Task successfully completed" after the forms have been completed by the client? I'd like to change it to "Thank you for your feedback".

Error Handling with a source system

We are using workflows as a process orchestration tool. The source system triggers the workflow API then we:  1) identify the step to complete  2) either complete the step (such as approval, email, etc.) or poll a tracker service to identify when the step is completed by another system then  3) identify next step as applicable and so on until the end. As part of this whole orchestration we need to build in error/exception handling like when we're unable to post to the tracker or the workflow errors out. We have ideas but unsure if they're the best route, looking for suggestions to program this? Is there a known/best practice to use?

Storage of Instance Data for NWC

I have a workflow that includes the following features:A form collects information from a user The form includes a signature The workflow generates a document from the information in the form (including the signature) The signature and document are stored in OneDrive When I view the instances, I see all of the form data there (in the Instance Start Data), which includes a reference to the signature path (but it is not clear if that is the path in OneDrive). My 3 related questions:Does Nintex store the generated document or it is only stored in OneDrive? Does Nintex store the signature or is it only stored in OneDrive? For the other form fields, is there a way to have the data removed from a completed or failed Instance after a period of time, either automatically or manually, perhaps by deleting the instance? I don't see a delete option.  Alternatively, is there an option like in Power Automate where you can create secured inputs so that the collected data cannot be viewed from the au

Unable to update SharePoint Item Attachment

The current capability that Nintex Workflow Cloud has it to update a SharePoint list item based on a field which it works great but when I try to add an attachment to an item I required the ID to be able to attach that document. When you create a new item you can pull the ID to attach the documents but if you are updating an item you do not get the ID your are updating. Is there anyone out there that have a similar issue and came up with something, or is there something I'm missing or I don't know how to do? Any help will be appreciated.

Doc Gen File Attachments

I have a Nintex Workflow Cloud form that generates a PDF.  This form allows users to upload multiple pictures.  I am looking for a way to embedded the pictures into the PDF that is generated.     Does anyone have a solution for this?

Retrieve task form url in NWC

I am assigning a task to a user with "Assign a task" action.  I have a requirement to show this Task URL in a dashboard in SharePoint. How do I obtain the Task URL? I tried to log the following two context variables:  Which returns the following output:tf_735e45fb8d9c4007a1648e44976a7722_form_urltf_735e45fb8d9c4007a1648e44976a7722_task_name_link The actual URLs that the user receives in the email is something like:https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/aQCYC2kg95ikrRD43undJpV?domain=abc.workflowcloud.comhttps://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/lzNbC68m05HokMAgDipDcRf?domain=abc.workflowcloud.com How can I obtain this URL in the workflow? Thanks in advance.

"Recall" / Cancelling an approval task from a source system

We are using a workflow to kickoff an approval task. The source system triggers the workflow API, we lookup the approver and send them a task. There are some situations where the submitter would want to "recall" the approval request to make a change or cancel the request where they'd click the button in the source system and I need it to update my workflow. I'd LIKE it to set the task status to recall to end the task and move to the next step of updating the DB, etc. but I'm struggling to find a way to do this. If I have the "recall" button terminate the workflow I lose out on all the updates I need to happen to the DB, etc. Any ideas how to program this?

Assign a task to multiple users: I can't access the data?

This new Assign a task to multiple users function is confusing me. I have a form that must go first to multiple users (with the first response completing the task). This task has a form with it too, which contains a lot of the data from the start event form. So the first of these multiple users (reviewers) completes the task by completing the second form and submitting it. If the reviewer approves the form, it must then go to another, single user for final approval. This, too, is with a form. But here's the thing: for this third form, I want to pull data from the second form. But I can't! It's all grayed out and I can't access it.Using the Assign a task function, you can pull data from one task into a subsequent task - but it seems that with the Assign a task to multiple users function, you can't. Is it supposed to be this way? And if so, why?

Form Variables populated using GetQueryStringParameter - Can they be required?

I have a form variable that will be populated from a query string parameter.  But I need to make sure that this value is populated and is not removed from the URL.  Is there any way to require this value, perhaps by showing an error when the form loads to indicate that a required value is missing and not allow the user to submit the form?

URL Parameters Not Supported with Embedded Form?

I have a form that uses URL parameters to prepopulate fields, using getQueryStringParameter. When I simply publish the form using the URL, this works fine.  But when I try to use the same technique with an embedded form and add those URL parameters to the src parameter of the iframe tag, it says "The form is Unavailable". Is there a trick to getting this to work?

operationId is required - error from SharePoint actions

The past few days while putting on the finishing touches of a workflow I've been developing for 3 weeks, I am getting this frequent error message "operationId is required". In the Instance activities, the last row I'll see is either: Update items (Waiting) or Retrieve an item (Waiting) with a Status of Failed in red. Expand it and I get 'Detailed error message is unavailable for this action.' No other details are given. This seems to be related to only SharePoint Online actions. It happens either during SharePoint 'Retrieve an Item' or SharePoint 'Update Items'. (I'm only updating 1 row though, the row the flow was triggered by). This is a hit or miss situation, sometimes the actions work fine and move right along to other parts of my flow. The errors happen at various different SharePoint actions within my flow design so it's not always the same action failing. I have about 10 SharePoint actions at different areas in the flow, all running sequentially so it's not an issue of Parallel

Line Breaks appear with Links in Variable Text

I have a form that will include Terms of Use or similar language.  This will be several paragraphs of formatted text (headings, bold, and even some links).  I would like to save this language along with the other form fields each time a form is submitted, in part because this language may change over time and I want to track which version the user agreed to. I can't use a straight label for this, because the label text is not a field that can be saved elsewhere (like SharePoint).  I am trying to use a text variable instead.  The text variable can be saved with the form and I can embed the text variable as the content of a label.  Therefore, what the user sees on the screen will always match what gets saved. However, the text variable has a few shortcomings:1 - It does not natively allow for formatted text. Instead, I need to manually embed html tags into the string.  It would be great if variables supported rich text natively.2 - If I embed a link (<a> tag), line breaks are myste

Yes/No questions on form returning values of True/False when generating document.

Hello, I am using Nintex Workflow Cloud and I have about 20 Yes/No toggle switches on my form. I think because they are Boolean, that when I generate the document, the Yes becomes "true" and No becomes "false". I have been trying to figure out a way to change those values so they would continue to read "Yes" and "No" in the final document generation. Is there an easy way to fix this? I do not want to change from using the toggle switches. Thank you very much for any guidance you could give me!

Check Todays Day of the Week

Hi there,  I currently have a workflow where I need to get the current day of the week (Mon,Tue,Wed etc), so that I am able to add the correct amount of business days before the workflow auto approves. I was previously using an API to retrieve this, but it seems that API stopped working. I would prefer to use an in house Nintex function, and wondered if this was possible? Thanks for your help!

Hide Form Field with Value Added via getQueryStringParameter but Include Value in Submission

Using NWC, I will distribute a form where the form URL will include a parameter that corresponds to a form control (using getQueryStringParameter).  The URL parameter will be unique to each recipient.  I do not want recipients to see the form control in the form, but when the form is submitted, I want the value of that form control (provided by a parameter using getQueryStringParameter) to be available. But if the form control is hidden using any standard technique (the field is not visible, there is a rule that hides the form control or the form control is in a hidden group), then the value is not available. The best I could do (i.e., kludge) is to give the form control label generic text (like "Thanks for filling out this form") and set its styling so that the field itself blends into the background of the form. Is there another way to do this, such as using custom CSS?  I don't know of any way to apply custom CSS to a NWC form and this capability does not appear to exist:  https://c

Custom Confirmation Message on Form Submission in NWC

Using NWC, is it possible to create a page that is shown that has a custom confirmation message when a form is submitted? Currently, I am only able to redirect the user to a new page.

Create news article from workflow

Hi! My company uses SharePoint online and since yesterday Nintex Workflow Cloud.   Is there a way to create a news article in SharePoint Online out of a workflow from the Nintex Workflow Cloud?     The workflow should look like this: When a new item in a list is created, the workflow starts, takes the data from the list item and creates with it a news article in Sharepoint Online.

NWC with B2C (Facebook) Authentication

Hello Team,I am trying to configure NWC to allow Facebook authentication for external (public) users.Has anyone been able to do this?Here is what I have attempted thus far.I followed this blog post and configured our Azure AD with federation to Facebook and successfully tested this with our own Azure web app.https://www.rebeladmin.com/2020/10/step-by-step-guide-how-to-setup-facebook-federation-with-azure-ad/ I added the "Nintex Identity Platform" to the User flow (Step 7 under the section "Add Facebook federation option to Azure AD portal" in the blog post), but when trying to log in I don't get the option to Sign in with Facebook (Step 2 under the "Testing" section) Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions.

Data Lookup, set a value to it

I'm using a Data Lookup to display data from a SharePoint list. It displays the picklist values on the Start Form. But, how can I set this field so it has a value preselected? i.e. "Default Value". The need for this is: Start Form shows a bunch of fields, one of them is a Data Lookup which displays a list of 50 US States. The user selects Maryland. (The ID for Maryland is 23 back in the SharePoint list of rows) The workflow then runs and stores all the fields into a new row in the "purchase order" SharePoint list and it correctly sets the "State" field to ID 23. State field is a Lookup datatype in "purchase order" SharePoint list. Then, the workflow routes to a manager so they can approve/reject the form. The manager needs to see and be able to change all values. I then load from SharePoint that freshly new row (using SharePoint - Retrieve an Item) and can put all the values on the form so the manager can see what the employee entered. I can even put the text value "Maryland" or the In

NWC - Task Form Pre-Populated with data from SQL and Cascading Drop downs (Conditional values)

Hello team,This is a multi-part question/problem, however, I'm trying to achieve something so common and simple. Here is the scenario.I have a list of schools, and each school has a list of buildings with the data stored in a SQL DB. 1) Using a NWC Form, a user selects a school (for review) and a reviewer and starts a new workflow. 2) A Task is assigned to the reviewer selected in step 1.3) The Task is opened and the user can see the details of the school (multiple fields) and a list of the buildings that need to be reviewed. Here comes my first of Issues:  - In order for me to populate the Task form with data from SQL, I need to create a 1 SQL statement action for each field I wish to show on the form, then I need to "Get an Item from the collection", within the workflow (Pre-Task) and finally I need to create a Form Loaded rule to display the value on the form. This is a lot of work for 1 field and the school details view contains many fields.Is there an easier way to populate the fo

Data lookup not working when form is published

Hi all - I'm very new to NWC, so I concede that I may just be overlooking some simple step.I've developed a form with a Data lookup field that queries a SharePoint Online list. Everything (data source, connector) seems to be set up fine, and when I test the workflow the lookup works perfectly and provides a dropdown of the choices from the list.However, when I publish the workflow and run it, the field is empty - the dropdown says "No data provided."What's happening here?Thanks for any help that can be given.

Box.com connection - Move a file

Is there a way to append a file with (2) if a file with the same name already exists? Currently, the 'Move a File' connection for Box.com errors out if a file with the same name exists and the entire workflow ends.  THANKS!
