How to Update SPO List Item Number Column with Empty (null)

In my workflow, I am updating some columns in a SharePoint Online List Item. I want to clear the value in a Number field. When I add the field in the Update configurator and don't enter anything in that field, I get a warning when I try to publish. "Error: The workflow contains unconfigured actions. Please configure all actions and try publishing again." To fix the error, I enter a number in the field. And then I delete that number. I am able to publish, but when the workflow runs, the value in that field does not get cleared. Furthermore, when I edit the workflow and configure the Update step, I discover that the field I wanted to update with blank (null, nothing) was removed from the configuration. How do I clear the contents of a SPO List Item Number field in the Update items step?

Can component workflow outputs be optional?

Hello, We have a few component workflows that return multiple output variables, but we don't always care about all the outputs in every situation. There's a number of built in actions with outputs (Call a Web Service) where the outputs aren't required, and don't need to be defined in order to save/use the action.  Is there a way to make the outputs of a component workflow optional, so that we don't have to create variables to store data we don't always care about?  Thank you

Assign a task, but to no one person in particular (?)

So here's my conundrum. I'm trying to design a lost-and-found form that allows a user to enter data about a lost item, which then writes over to a list in SharePoint Online. When the lost item is disposed of (returned to its owner, thrown away, etc.), the SPO list item needs to be updated with the new information about when and how the lost item was taken care of.That seems simple enough. Seems like a form > Create item in SPO > Assign a task > Update item in SPO. But the problem is that there is no one specific to whom the task should be assigned. Any employee in the given location can potentially be the one to update the information, just as any employee can be the one to enter the original information. And we have approximately 30 locations for which this is the case. I don't want to assign the task to multiple parties because, of course, that type of task requires specific users to be named - an administrative nightmare in this case. call a web service error "certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate)"

Hello Nintex Community! I put in a ticket for this issue but I am not sure when specifically they will get back to me but did anybody have trouble using the "call a web service" and getting this error below:SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=error: certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate) I tested using this api on the vendor's swagger, postman, and soapui. Is this something that someone else encountered before as well? If not, this might be a nintex cloud thing then?

How to merge multiple attachments with DocGen

My NWC solution starts with a form that has 3 file upload controls.I need to get each file uploaded and using DocGen combine them for use with AdobeSign. I would love to go straight to DocGen, but I realize I may have to save them to the SP Item first. However, my current hickup is that I can't wrap my head around getting them back from the SP Item, into a collection, and then getting each one from the collection into a DocGen action for use.

Attaching Files Uploaded from a Nintex Form to the Appropriate SharePoint List item

I am new to Nintex Workflow Development.  I have created a couple of forms and associated workflows using Nintex Workflow Cloud.  The form is using the "File Upload" control. Files appear to upload to the form via the "File Upload" control.  I am using the SharePoint Online "Add Attachment to an Item: control within my Nintex workflow.  The goal is to take the files uploaded via the form and save them as attachments to a SharePoint Online List item. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.When I try using the "Add Attachment to List Item" control in my workflow, I get the following error. Add attachment to an item (Waiting)Failed Received an error response from the connector: Json file source is empty.. [Error Code: IO.XtensionExecute.ErrorResponse] Is there a user guide, tutorial, video, or someone with experience that can show/tell me how to get the file(s) from a form into a SharePoint list item as an attachment via a Nintex workflow? Thank you in advance for your

Workflow Context Current Date populates item with Yesterday's date

I am in Arizona (GMT-7). In my workflow, I am using the Context variable, Current date, to populate a Date column in SharePoint Online item. "Include Time" is set to No on the column. There is no default value for that column. Today is 8/13/2021. The workflow is setting the date in my SharePoint list to 8/12/2021. Why would this be happening? Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Set a Variable Value with wild character

I am doing a string to find a number and looking for a way to add a variable to look for and then anything after the variable can be any wild character: As it currently fails to find the folder when there is text after the Division number and it is too random to just add more variables underneath.  Thank You

Is it possible to return two dimensional array (two columns) with API response to Form

I have a Data Lookup control on NWC form.  The control is connected to Xtension that is calling API.  I was told that, if I want to use API on the Form, then the only data type of Response from API can be an array.  Currently, I can return a one dimensional array and populate the drop down list. "schema": {"type": "array","items": {"type": "string"}}This is not very helpful.  I was wondering if I can return two columns back to Data Lookup, and that way it will work similar to the way it works with SharePoint lists.  With SharePoint list connectors we can select multiple columns from the list and point to them in the designer.Regards.

As of this morning my workflow was working fine, suddenly no new instances of it have been triggered after I create new items in my list

Do I need to add all workflow users as a nintex user?

Yes, I am a newbie with NWC and how it interacts with SharePoint Online.  I am trying to understand if a workflow/form user that needs to enter data into a Nintex form or be assigned a workflow task or will be able to trigger a workflow needs to be added as a "Delegated User" in Customer Central?

Is User Context NWC Form object only accessible to tenant members

I tried using User Context Object on NWC form and I can display my First Name, Last Name, Email.  Then I asked my colleague who is not on our NWC tenant to launch the URL and bring up the form, and he is getting an error: The signed in User is not assigned a role in the application ...... I am not sure whether the application listed is NWC tenant, or that is a SharePoint application.  Which bring to another question.  Is User Context Object only available to NWC tenant members, or associated SharePoint apps? Regards.

NWC Repeating Data Doc Generation

Using Nintex Workflow (not Docgen for Salesforce) and the new Repeating Data feature. I'm struggling to get this to work. I'm querying Dynamics CRM (Opportunity Products) and trying to get all products related to an opportunity, then represent select fields from the products on a repeating row in a word template. I'm successfully querying the Opportunity and retrieving the fields I want using a Loop operation, but I cannot use these fields in my repeating row. The reason I suspect is that creating a [Loop] does not generate a [Collection]. Based on this assumption I've tried adding items to a new collection but am struggling to get the multiple fields per record. Is there a way to use the Repeating Data from a set of records gathered in a Loop? How can I push these records into a Collection?

Start workflow on another list using 'Create List Item' action?

Hello!  I have a workflow on List A with the action 'Create List Item' that will duplicate a item into List B. I wanted to create a new item in this list to create an unfiltered view of a form, free of rules so that everyone can view information entered by the previous party. The item is created in List B perfectly; however, the workflow in List B will not kick off and can only be triggered manually. I have the 'Start when items are created' AND 'Start when items are modified' both toggled on.  A solution I tried was to create a column in List B called "WorkflowB", then I used a 'Update List Item' action in the List A workflow to change that value to 'Yes' which should be an item modification. The workflow will still not trigger. Anyone have any ideas how I can automatically trigger the workflow in List B when an item is created from a workflow in List A?

Active Directory - Query User Filter Properties

We are needing to use the Active Directory Query Users Control to pull emails for staff members based off their Location/Office and Job Title. With this we have notice that with this control, we can query most of the basic fields in Azure AD other then Office.   Is there a way to get Office to show up in the add condition -> where drop down so that we are able to filter by this field out of Azure AD?

Capturing SQL Execute a query error still not solved

So this morning about 100 of my workflow instances errored due to a 5min network error trying to connect to our SQL server. (The firewall needed an emergency reboot / reconfig) The errors are: I wrote about this issue a year ago(Solved: Capturing errors in NWC SQL Execute a query action - Nintex Community)and we have a uservoice for the idea:sql execute a query - capture error option – Customer Feedback for Nintex (uservoice.com) We just need a way to capture a transient error like a timeout, tell the workflow to wait ten mins and retry, rather than the entire workflow instance failing. Could we take another look at getting some urgent progress on this action please? Thanks

I was hoping when I overwrite files in Box, they will create a new Version rather when using workflow they just delete the previous file and add the new oneIs there an option to overwrite and keep version history?

Method to wait for an outside trigger/status before continuing on

I have a workflow that is using a Web Request action to retrieve the status of a document through the Citrix product Right Signature. I currently have a loop setup where the current status is being retrieved, and if it's not in the desired status it will delay before looping back and checking again. Apparently, there's a limit on the amount of times a loop will run (250).  I could determine the maximum amount of time the process could wait, and divide that by 250 to determine the length of time the delay should be set to. However, that possibly results in a longer time between the desired status being set, and Nintex actually checking the status and continuing on with the workflow. I also tried to do a manual loop by doing a Branch by Stage action, where it would keep rerunning the same stage until it was the desired status. However, it appears the branch by stage also has a limited number of times it will run (I'm guessing either 50 per stage or 100 for the whole action). Is there a w

Is there any option available to display the HTML Element in Form design?

Hi Team,My requirement is to get certain information with Web service (response with JSON Object) and display the content in a Tabular format in the Form Design.  Currently I'm able to design the html element in a text variable and pass on to the Form Design. But the view is in TEXT format instead of HMTL.  Is there any way or workaround to render TEXT value as a HTML element when the user's View this form? RegardsPrabha

Standalone Nintex Workflow Cloud forms

Hi All, I am coming to NWC from a K2 background and I am suprised to find how limited the forms functionality is, or perhaps I can't find the answers I am looking for in the documentation or by experimenting on NWC.  My question:How do I create forms that are not bound to a workflow? A simple form that the user can use to view data or perform tasks that definitely don't require workflow? In a traditonal approach a user would have a landing page or dashboard where common information is available pertaining to the business, in K2 you would create a SmartForm and that SmartForm would be made available on Workspace or perhaps by link etc. The user can then view data from a database, query business information or what have you.  This does not seem like a viable option for NWC. Am I wrong?

Is there a way to create a SharePoint group on O365 from the Nintex Workflow Cloud?I have tried using the "Call a web service" action to call SharePoint REST API for "Users, Groups and Roles" and make a POST request to the URL. However no groups are being created.  TIAAndre

Rework on Nintex Workflowcloud

I want to do a rework on the previous task, but the values on the task forms are readonly, so it makes my rework action impossible  as I cant edit them like we have in Nintex K2.
