Creating a new Dynamics 365 record and associating a file to the record...

Dear NWC Community: It is indeed straightforward to create new records in Dynamics and new folders in OneDrive.  Here is the challenge: I create a new record (Lead) in DynamicsI use DocGen to create a fileI want to upload the file to a OneDrive folder linked to the Dynamics record. It sounds simple, but turns out it is not... After creating a new Lead for Jane Doe, it is assigned a uniqueID:d7abf8cc-2c1e-ec11-b6e6-002248090234 If I manually upload a file to the new record, Dynamics creates a new folder in the associated OneDrive folder with the following nomenclature:Note that the file folder is created according to <First><space><Last><underscore><CRM ID>, however WITHOUT the uniqueID hyphens... So how can I upload a file to a location that is associated with the newly created Dynamics record? Thanks so much in advance for your help!Adam

Reordering branches in a Branch by Stage action

Doesn't look like we can reorder the branches in a branch by stage action in NWC. From a visual logic flow point of view this would be fantastic to have given this is available in State Machine action in Workflow for SharePoint. I've create a request on uservoice if you would like to up vote it please.branch by stage reorder branches – Customer Feedback for Nintex (uservoice.com)

Adding user accounts to NWC using RPA

Hi All, I am trying to create a Nintex RPA botflow to add user accounts to NWC.   I found this post https://community.nintex.com/t5/Blog/Nintex-RPA-Creating-Accounts-in-Salesforce-Lightning/ba-p/209300  for Salesforce. Similarly can this be done for NWC ? Thanks for your help

SFDC Data into Excel on SP workflow

We currently have a large extensive onboarding tracker that is an excel spreadsheet that lives on our SharePoint Online site. Our onboarding team uses this tracker to ensure each task (couple hundred tasks per new customer) that must be completed during the onboarding process has been executed properly. However, we use Salesforce as our CRM for all the tracking of the customer lifecycle journey and customer communications from Opportunities (prospect customers) to Accounts (active customers) data. We want to setup a workflow that will allow the Salesforce data for new customers/account to auto-populate onto the onboarding tracker excel spreadsheet in SharePoint. This is our initial thought but if there is a better solution/workflow for this, please advise. The workflow steps we are thinking of would be:The workflow start/trigger would be when an Opportunity record in Salesforce is updated when the stage “Contract Signed/Won" Next step would be "retrieve a record" from Salesforce where

Task Responder blank for Assign a Task to Multiple user not authenticated

I'm using the Assign a task to multiple users with a semicolon seperated list of email addresses for the assignees.It is configured as a form task with reject / approve outcomes, run as parallel and first response completes the task. Assignee Authentication is turned off. I'm doing a loop for each after the response is completed.In the loop when I get the Task Responder as part of the object, it returns as empty. I would expect that the assignee of that task, as there is a separate task URL for each assignee would be populated into the Task Responder. Any ideas on how I can the email of who completed the task?

NWC Environment Issues

There are some newly features of NWC that are been implemented easily, and without stress during the webinar training that I can't find in my environment. I want to know if it is a bug or my tenancy plan does not cover for it. 1.  The Converting PDF button to editable form is not available in my environment.2.  The Newly added External Data source feature to add multiple values from a data source is also not available on my environment. The place where the external data sources will be showing is not displaying it.3. The Ability to show attachments on my form is also not included. The last but not the least is the Nintex gateway connection between RPA and NWC, it is taking too much time without authenticating and connection.I am an administrator on both NWC and RPA but the Nintex Gateway authentication and subsequent connection is not going through. P.S. My Nintex NWC version is Standard

Choice - Single or Multiple (Fill in) for drop down

Hi Support, Just a suggestion, is a fill-in option for drop downs when using the Choice - Single / Multiple action coming any time soon? It's great that we can do it for when it is a radio button we can enter a fill-in field but as soon as we switch it to a drop - down list it removes this ability. @EuanGamble thoughts?  Reason for this is that I want to hide my options (I have 16 for the territories in my country) but still want to give the user the ability to enter a specific fill-in location if desired. Regards,Bryce Saavedra

Escalate task at a specific day per month

I am working on a workflow in Nintex Workflow Cloud and the users need to submit some data and let it approve by the manager. The approval has to be finished always until the 25th of the month. If the manager forgets to finish the task by the 25th, it should escalate and finish the task automatically with the default outcome of the task. How can I set up a date variable that's always the 25th of the current month, when the workflow has started? And then I could use this date variable as my escalation day for the task.

User context variable not populating

I have implemented a form with some text fields that i want to populate with the current users information. I have inserted context->current user->First name as the default value in the text field. I've set the form access to authenticated users and ran it from within my Nintex but my data is not being populated in the form. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Display instance page displays for 4ms before error “something went wrong”

Hi I'm looking for some support with Nintex workflow cloud and debugging using a start event workflow triggered externally. My workflow is running, and my https request is accepted however when I attempt to display the details from automate/instances, the screen flashes up ever so briefly before displaying a “something went wrong while processing your request please try again later” error. the screen is so fast I can only read it if I record as a video and then play it back frame by frame. Also, because the create a support ticket button is on this page, it is impossible to select and create a new request for assistance. The workflow is published, it is in development "type"

Cloud Workflow Query List Date and Time Field

Hi I am creating a workflow using a scheduled event and querying a list. So basically at 1100pm I want nintex to query a list using a date and time column (in sharepoint i don't use the time just date) then use a run if function that is if the column date is equal to the context date then it send an email. However even though I select sharepoint to use just the date it appears to still add the time from the query date. See attachment. Any help would be appreciated   .

Export Workflow to File?

Is there a way in NWC to export the Workflow to a file?  It seems the Export function just provides a key for you to copy to another tenant and that only last 3 days.    Google results talk about a .NWF file but it appears to be related to SharePoint workflow only.

Storing Signed Adobe Sign File in SharePoint Online

I'm having trouble storing a file in sharepoint online after the file is signed via Adobe Sign. I'm trying to store the signed agreement in sharepoint rather than OneDrive/Box/etc. Then emailing the signed agreement to another party. My workflow screenshot is below.  Getting the error when it is at the "store a file" action. Received an error response from the connector: {"message":"Folder path 'https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/xxxxxx/Document%20Test/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=22' is not supported","correlationId":"3a7b96dc-5c17-47d0-8af1-0cb8dc066912"}. [Error Code: IO.XtensionExecute.ErrorResponse]

Work flow Approval - status update in the form

Hi  I am new to the Nintex BPM tool . I have created the workflow approval with design form and routing to the user approval. I want to update my form with reply  ( approved / rejected ) in the status field in my form. Default Value in Date field auto-fill from another date field

Hi all, I have two date fields, the first always requires user input and the 2nd I need calculated from the first by adding 1 year date field 1. Date field 2 may need to be adjusted by the user but i need it to defualt in one year ahead. When using the 'dateadd' function I am not able to select from any Form Controls, i have also attempted to build a form variable however in the Date field i am unable to select my form variables. Sorry if this has been answered but couldnt see any content in the workflow cloud section. Thanks,Jayce

SAML based authentication - User Sync issues

Hello, We have SAML based Azure AD - Identity federation with auto-acceleration set to on - in NWC. I have to use Assign a task action where the Assignee will be determined dynamically.I couldn’t get this working and gives this error below when workflow is executed.  What I have found so far is: If the user has never used NWC before, then they have to first access the NWC site, in order for them to get added/registered to the NWC Portal. Only then the workflow recognizes the user. But that is not practical as we cannot email every user the link to NWC and ask them to access the page. Anyone faced similar issues? any solutions please? @cecilia-penha  @Jake

How to Update SPO List Item Number Column with Empty (null)

In my workflow, I am updating some columns in a SharePoint Online List Item. I want to clear the value in a Number field. When I add the field in the Update configurator and don't enter anything in that field, I get a warning when I try to publish. "Error: The workflow contains unconfigured actions. Please configure all actions and try publishing again." To fix the error, I enter a number in the field. And then I delete that number. I am able to publish, but when the workflow runs, the value in that field does not get cleared. Furthermore, when I edit the workflow and configure the Update step, I discover that the field I wanted to update with blank (null, nothing) was removed from the configuration. How do I clear the contents of a SPO List Item Number field in the Update items step?

Can component workflow outputs be optional?

Hello, We have a few component workflows that return multiple output variables, but we don't always care about all the outputs in every situation. There's a number of built in actions with outputs (Call a Web Service) where the outputs aren't required, and don't need to be defined in order to save/use the action.  Is there a way to make the outputs of a component workflow optional, so that we don't have to create variables to store data we don't always care about?  Thank you

Assign a task, but to no one person in particular (?)

So here's my conundrum. I'm trying to design a lost-and-found form that allows a user to enter data about a lost item, which then writes over to a list in SharePoint Online. When the lost item is disposed of (returned to its owner, thrown away, etc.), the SPO list item needs to be updated with the new information about when and how the lost item was taken care of.That seems simple enough. Seems like a form > Create item in SPO > Assign a task > Update item in SPO. But the problem is that there is no one specific to whom the task should be assigned. Any employee in the given location can potentially be the one to update the information, just as any employee can be the one to enter the original information. And we have approximately 30 locations for which this is the case. I don't want to assign the task to multiple parties because, of course, that type of task requires specific users to be named - an administrative nightmare in this case. (And you can assign only up to 10 parti

call a web service error "certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate)"

Hello Nintex Community! I put in a ticket for this issue but I am not sure when specifically they will get back to me but did anybody have trouble using the "call a web service" and getting this error below:SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=error: certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate) I tested using this api on the vendor's swagger, postman, and soapui. Is this something that someone else encountered before as well? If not, this might be a nintex cloud thing then?

How to merge multiple attachments with DocGen

My NWC solution starts with a form that has 3 file upload controls.I need to get each file uploaded and using DocGen combine them for use with AdobeSign. I would love to go straight to DocGen, but I realize I may have to save them to the SP Item first. However, my current hickup is that I can't wrap my head around getting them back from the SP Item, into a collection, and then getting each one from the collection into a DocGen action for use.
