K2 workflow for sharepoint

I want to know if its possible to crearte a k2 workflow for multiple sharepoint lists.Also is it possible to create a workflow based on specific content type? Regards, Christos,

How to add the Name of the User to Worklist?

Hi, I have a List View and have the Worklist added. It displays the various fields, such as Originator (in forma K2:domainuserID). How do i use this field to also display a column alongside which contains the NAME of the originator as well? I presume its using the Originator field to somehow do a lookup in AD for the matching Username (although the K2 bit would need to be dropped from the Originator column). Any ideas how to do this?

Could not resolve user in For ALL items in a Row Loop

Hi, I have a For All items in a list loop, look up the User id and return the AD Name (using getuserdetails method within loop) The List view has a bunch of UserIDs, however a couple of those users have left the organisation, so when it does the ADUser Smartobject method and it find the user does not exist, it says "Could not resolve user: UserID" but then quits. How do i get it to continue down the Foor Loop if the user cannot be resolved?

Form Runtime URL within 5.2 Workflow Designer

Hi there.   Is there somewhere in the 5.2 workflow designer that allows you to drag the Smartform Runtime URL into something like an email body?   I'm trying to create an e-mail that will reference a form and provide the URL to open the form, but can't seem to find the enviornments library to do so.   Thoughts? Rob

UM User - slow performance with Azure AD

Hello, I have a performance issue with using the UM User SO. Every time I run the SmartObject, it takes around 3 seconds to execute. This happens only when using the Azure Active Directory Label.  My understnandig is that the system Should use the identity cache in such scenario to retrieve the users list, which should be rather fast. This was tested straight from the server, so it should not be the network issue. Also the Azure AD smartobjects (which I suppose are reading straight from Azure) are running much faster (around 0.4 s to get all the users). Is there any way to debug/workaround such issue? Thanks

Platform parameter for method OpenWorklistItem

Hi,I have a short question for the OpenWorklistItem Method of the K2 Runtime API.Does  the parameter Platform has any effect or is it just an info? Is it important to set this parameter by using in a ASP.NET application for example? How to join a cold node to the production farm

Hello K2 Community,I am trying to figure out the best way to join a cold standby node to our prod farm. As a standard operating procedure, I like to keep a few preconfigured K2 Five nodes on standby. Since K2 Five does not offer autoscaling, I figured this is the quickest way to add resiliency to our production should we require additional capacity or if we lose one of the K2 nodes. A node = Windows VM + K2 Five. Cloning Windows VMs from the golden image did not work for us - Azure has naming dependencies at the VM level that are challenging to deal with. What we ended up doing was to preinstall vanilla K2 Five on a separate instance of the database, then when needed, run the Configure path of the K2 Five installer, check the 'reconfigure the farm' option and use the target environment DB name. I hope my explanation makes sense. i.e.production farm is connected to k2-sql00cold standby node k2-vm1 runs with k2-sql01cold standby node k2-vm2 runs with k2-sql02 when joining k2-vm1 to the k

Encryption of value to Text Box

Hi, Is there an out of the box encryption in K2 five or hash to encrypt value of text box?I need to encrpyt my value before I send to email and save to database. K2 form intermittently submitting blank items to a SharePoint list

We have a K2 form connected to a SharePoint list. Out of the 1,000s of submissions we've received, there are 29 blank items. Typically, I would suspect that the accounts attempting the submit the form didn't have permission to contribute to the SharePoint list, but that's not the case. Also, with most of the blank items, the same account created an item around the same time. Unfortunately, I'm not able to confirm whether or not the users received any error messages. I couldn't find anything in the K2 logs to explain the blank items. Has anyone else experienced this issue with intermitten blank items being written to a SharePoint list?

Form or view Pass Validation conditional

Hi there, I am trying to see if it is possible to achieve the following: I have a Editable view with Autosuggestion  control A  Textbox B and Textbox C. On add button i need to validation if control A has value then either control B or C have value. and i would like to achive this via wither form pass validation or view passvalidation. how conditional value we can check? Also i try to implement below solution to remove highlited validation on add button. But it work intermediatly . Task Notifications not being sent

looking through other posts, I have not found a solution to our issue we are having an issue with task notifications not being sent, although we can verify assignment in K2 Management (workflow). we are running the latest release of K2 Five (5.3) an email action has been added to the workflow to confirm it's running, and the recipient is identical to the task action assign to. here is the configuration

How to enforce a date/time field to be greater than another date/time field

Hi all, Hoping somone can assist or point me in the right direction. I have 2 date/time fields (start and end) for a booking request form, im trying to ensure that the form forces users to provide an end date/time field greater than the start date/time field specified.  Whats the best way to achieve this?

Workflow error list export

We have a list of items that have gone into an error status.  We can see that list in Management, but are not able to export or dump the list into a file where we can copy out the information into other windows or SQL queries.  Is there a way to do that?I have attached a screen grab of the screen I am looking at.   Thanks, Don

How to get a field value in sql service smartobjects

I have a smartobject generated from a SQL instance. The "List" method returns value from a single row (let say columns A,B and C) when we provide an input value to a field(let say A). I am interested in one column field(C) in that row. How to get just that one value? I tried creating a advanced smartobject but could not find the right way to do it. I want to map that value in the workflow . Is there  a way to filter the value of column "C" ? Stored procedure is one solution , in such case, but I just want to explore if there is a way to do the same in K2.

Azure Load Balancer configuration

Hi,I am looking to exchange some notes related to the configuration of the Azure load balancer with K2 Five. Specifically, the K2 farm can interact with users via multiple ports captured via:https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/K2Five/ICG/5.3/default.htm#Prepare/Firewall-Settings.htm Outside of obvious ports 80 and 143, how can I configure Azure's load balancer to allow for monitoring and proper load balancing of other ports? OAuth authentication mode - Error in SO

Hi All, I have a question regarding OAuth authentication mode. I have two sharepont sites and I have registered K2 for shaarepoint inside those sites. Now I am able to get these inside Sharepoint 2013 in Smart Object tester. Authentication mode for both these sites are kept as OAuth with alll parameters same except the url. Now I have created smart object out of these libraries. I am able to get the result if I execute a method from one smart object but I am getting Access Denied error.  I am not sure how OAuth works with sharepont site. What all permission I should have in sharepoint site for OAuth to work Regards,Madhu

List method from Stored Procedure vs List Method from K2 SMO/Form Rule

Hi there.   I'll ask my question upfront, then I'll explain what we're seeing.  Would love your input. Question: Do you think it's more efficient to render large list views that might be run by many users at the same time using a LIST method off the database view or a LIST method from a SQL stored procedure?   We were always told by various consultants that the best practice on list views is to put the burdon on the SQL database via stored procedure (SPROC) as opposed to using just K2 "list" method on a database table or view.  We built out a new solution that does this...it's a solution that's used by a lot of people (probably 220+ at any one time in additionl to the 4*personal details removed* other users that are using K2 for other solutions) and the list view fires a lot based on the way the solution is designed.  The typical number of records returned on the list would average between 500 and 1500 records (although the list view only shows 20 at a time) with a maximum of maybe 650

Missing SmartObject

I have a SmartObject that does not appear in Package and Deploy Tool.The SmartObject is present in SmartObject Service Tester.I am not able to package and deploy the app using the SmartObject.The problem is the PayspaceEmployeePosition SmartObject in the pics below.This is in K2 5.2. Any ideas or advice?

What should be the format of the date that should be received in response in Swagger 2.0

I am using Swagger 2.0. I have a field in the Response where type: stringformat: dateWhat should be the format of this field so that it can be displayed succesfully. Currently, the date is received in the format 13/12/2019 (DD/MM/YYYY). And when displaying in the list view, it throws an error "Encountered a problem calling REST service. (Inner: Could not convert string to DateTime: 13/12/2019. Path 'registers[11].receptionDateMetLife', line 1, position 3583.) Can you please suggest what is the approach to resolve this error?
