Licensing Q

Hi all,A quick question regarding licensing. Curently we have an evaluation version that has expired and we would like to obtain a full license key, I've tried ringing the London office but no joy, is there any other way to obtain the key out of hours?Regards,

How to delegate a task to someone else

Actually, this is going to be 2 questions:1. How can someone who receives a K2 task delegate that task to another person? For example, user A recieves an email and an item in their task list. User A opens the task item, which brings up a view on an Infopath form. User A can complete the task, or can fill in a username (User B) and click a 'delegate' button. The task would be fully reassigned to User B and would disappear from User A's tasklist2. Along the same lines, can a person 'send' their task to another for review, then that person send it back? We are using an infopath form, and can change the view of the recipient so that the only action they can take is to 'Complete Review', which would automatically send it back to the original assignee. But this needs to be able to be done from many tasks within the workflow that are entirely independent from each other. And a complicating factor is that we need to retain the information specifying who reviewed the task, the date/time, and an

K2RadioButtonList does not allow no selected value.

When I use a K2RadioButtonList, I add the items in the Collection.None of the items are set as "Selected".This should result in none of the radio buttons being selected when the form displays, but it does not.As with the K2DropDownList, the first value in the list is the forced selected value.It can be fixed by adding code to the build event of the page and setting the "SelectedIndex" value of the K2RadioButtonList control to "-1".Bug?ThanksC

Active Schema Does not support 'asp:listitem'

When using a K2radiobuttonlist, the Visual Studio debugger highlights the <asp:ListItem> as not supported in the schema. Is there a corresponding <K2:K2ListItem>?

Error in SQL Data

HiI use the SQL Data Event to connect the Database and select the table valuesbut the following error occur:Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. Multiple slots of an Approval activity

My K2 app (using VB) uses an Infopath form to initiate the workflow, and I have a problem with it.In the form there is a repeating table, and when it is filled out the user can insert items and add additional nodes of that repeating table. The repeating table node consists of userid, name, status, comments.When the approval activity starts, an instance (slot) is created for each person added in the repeating table. When one user clicks the approve button, it needs to save the xml schema for that user's node only. In other words, if A and B receive the task, and A approves it, the approval goes into both the A & B nodes. How do I get it to write just to the node matching the userid?Thanks,

K2.NET and SPPS 2007 (beta)

Hello.We are testing the possibility of setting up the K2.NET with SPPS 2007 (beta). Already done with SPPS 2003, but in 2007 have no new K2 Virtual Server web-parts. K2 Server, SQL Server, VS and SPPS are installed on the same machine.We installed the MOSS 2007 Additional Materials on SPPS 2007 so it might get those K2 web-parts.Help please.

In our process, the first activity after submitting the infopath form is to create a sharepoint folder and upload the xml file into it. We also upload any file attachments to that folder.During the lifetime of the workflow instance (which may be years, but more often is several months) this folder is used to view documents associated with the workflow, including an updated version of the xml each time the form is updated.In the last activity of the workflow, when the process instance is completed, we are trying to move the folder that was created into a folder named 'Completed' at the same heirarchical level.I'm using CreateFolder in the first activity, then again in the last event of the last activity to first create the working folder, then the completed folder then the subfolder (named the same as the working folder). Process stuck in "Running" state

I have a process that is stuck in the "Running" state. Destination queue's name

Hi.I have an activity with only one destination. This destination contains only one destination queue. Is there any possibility to read this destination queue's name in server event of this activity?I know I can use K2.ActivityInstanceDestination.DestQueue.Name; but this only works if Create single activity instance for queue is checked. But I would prefer that one activity would be created for all users of this destination queue. But when Create single activity instance for queue is not checked, then I can't use DestQueue.Name.Thanx.

Couldn't add Active directory in Destination Queues

I have config a new Destination Queues in K2 (Name : FSD_Reviewer).After that , I open the property of this Destination Queues to add Group.But when I drag a Group to the "Send To" , "Send To Manager", "Send to Peers" , nothing has been add to this Property.(We can see the attachment image)Please help me.

K2 Button issue...it won't run the click event!

I have been given some code for a web application that is written using K2, C#.Net and a little javascript to tie some of it together. I have to admit that I have very limited experience with K2.This web application works perfectly on my development environment however when it is installed onto a "live" environment some instances of a K2 button on a K2SmartForm stops working. It appears as though the button is not attached to any C# code at all (which it is).I have a feeling that actually either the K2SmartForm is not set up properly to allow the button to run (it is enabled and appears to "click" on screen) or there is some property of the K2 button which is stopping it from working. There are no errors generated to suggest a problem at all, it simply does not run the code.Could there be some K2 components that are not installed and causing this problem?I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give meThanks in advanceDave

Updating Process Instance with K2ROM.dll hangs

Is this code contained in your custom dll or in a user front end aspx page?The reason I ask is this...If it is in your custom dll, you can not connect to a process instance to itself i.e. you can not connect to and update process instance xxxx from within process instance xxxx. The reason for this is that K2.net Server locks the record for this process instance id while it is busy actioning the item. K2.net Server locks this record until the Server Event is completed and then you are trying to access the same process instance through another thread.I would suggest moving the update code back into K2.net Studio (without the K2ROM stuff) OR making use of a synchronous server event. If you make use of a synchronous server event, you'll have to save the serial number of the event to some place you can pick it up from and action the item. Please refer to the Help file for and explanation of the Synchronous Server Event.HTH,Ockert

I have an existing application that my client wants me to workflow enable. They are storing their users/ groups in their own SQL database. Is is possible to write code in the destination rules to call a custom web service that grabs all the destination users from the SQL database and assign them to the desination on the fly?

Hi, would anybody tell me how to use K2ROM and KO Objects outside K2 studio, I want to use them in SmartForm or ASP.NET pages, for example, after complex calculation, store data to process. How could i do, which assembly to reference, and some sample code will be perfect! thanks.

Queue performance

We're trying to determine best practices for setting up destination queues.1. If we switch to dynamic queues with a low refresh interval (such as once an hour), what's the performance penalty for that? We typically have fewer than a dozen users in a queue.2. What are the pros and cons of "Create single Activity Instance for Queue"? Supposedly the single instance is particularly suitable for call centers, but the documentation doesn't say why. We typically use only one slot per activity.Thank you!

401 Unauthorized error when adding Report as webpart in SP

Changes made in Code modules do not reflect

Hi, I have a certain common functionality which needs to be performed on every activity, hence I have kept the common function in the code modules (.kcm file). However, even after making changes in the common function, they dont reflect on new instances created. The version on the K2 service manager shows the time I had exported the .kcm file to the K2 server. Can someone enlighten me how do I overcome this problem?Regards,Raghavendra B. Nayak
