export listview data to excel with dropdown column,tooltip,also to freeze few columns

How can we customize the export excel file  drop-down column with data, provide tooltip for excel cells and lock some of the columns from a listview result.Please advise.

Linebreak in workflow variable

Any hints on how I can add a line break in a workflow variable?   In essence, I’m using workflow to send a text message using an API, and I’d like to put a line break in between a couple of the data elements.  For some reason, I thought there was a line break you could drag up from the TEXT operators, but now I’m not seeing it.   Anyway, any help is always appreciated.

K2 dropdown change event using jquery

While changing K2 dropdown option ,I wants to perform some operations with Old value. But in k2 rules we are not able to capture that value. Because K2 has only changed rule.Example:Dropdown values : “one” , “two” , “three”If I change the dropdown value from “one” to “two” then I wants to trigger a button  click event from JavaScript so that will call some K2 rules  once that's done then the dropdown can change to “two”.Please help.

People Picker populates but throws people picker required error

See the attached screen shot. This was working this morning and all I did was create an a datafield to hold the telephone number and an expression to remove the dashes and replaced the output data for the telephone text box with the new datafield to show the telephone number without any dashes. Now I get this: This was not showing yesterday and this morning before I made the telephone change (which does not work by the way).I undid the telephone rules and it still occurs. Cleared my cache and reopened the designer and it still occurs.

drop email domain and search in people picker

I am very new to K2 and I was wondering if there was a way to drop the domain name off of the email search using people picker? Long story short, my company has multiple email domains for our users, but its the most unique way to search for people in the company. But if the used doesn’t have a standard email domain, or we don’t know which domain they’re in, we cant search for them easily.Is this a possibility??

Worklist item could not be opened Error 24411 User not allowed

Hi,We have a workflow which is configured to send action tasks to a mailbox Id . That mailbox can be accessed by a certain group of people like me.When I try to open the worklist item l get an error - Worklist item could not be opened Error 24411 <usernam> not allowed to open the worklist item with SN_No=<num>.How to make this worklist item accessible for all the users who are part of that mailbox ? I don’t want to add users individually as I need the email notifications to be sent only to the mailbox not to other group of users.How to configure workflow so that the mailbox get the email notifications and the other recipients don’t get the email but the worklist item is accessible for them ?

SharePoint event with recurrence

Is there any way to create an appointment or calendar event (Exchange Online or on-prem) with recurrence without a custom service broker?Events on a SharePoint calendar, through a workflow, would be copied to some user’s personal calendars, yet some of these events might have recurrence configured.I see K2 exposes the CAML (XML) of the event and have a helper method to get the properties, yet I am still missing how use them with the Exchange smartobjects.Any idea would be helpful. Thanks!

How to transfer existing file into the "file attachement" control?

Hello,I have the following problem:we have a process where the user can upload files as an attachment. This attachments ar saved as attachment to a SharePoint list item.These attachments are later on in the process attached to an email. If the email exceeds a given size, it cannot be send (email size too big)Now I want to implement a check, that the process cannot be started if the sum of all attachments exceeds a given size.I found no way to get the file size of the attachments. I found a way to get the file size with JScript, when the user uploads the file (it is visible in the file attachment control on the view)So I have the possibility to get the single sizes and I can make a sum and save the total size to the list item (this is no problem up to here) But the users are able to “delete” existing file attachments and I found now way to find the file size of the deleted files to substract it from my total file size… I tried to put the file into the “file attachment controll” but I fo

Injecting DIV tag around K2 form elements

Hello,I have a header section of a page that has the following:Notice how the Search button isn’t right-aligned with the input field, none of which are in separate table cells (this was designed before I came on board).  Using the recommend procedure, I’ve created a Data Label, set it to Literal, and added both jQuery <script> and <style> code that should insert an opening DIV before the “STUDENT SEARCH” span, then a closing DIV after the button, then styling that DIV and the 3 elements within.  No luck.  It appears that K2 doesn’t use DIV tags to style HTML, but instead only offers (arguably) deprecated TABLE tags and cells.  Are there any extensions to allow for DIV designing or more intuitive approaches than script / style injection with runtime literals?  If not, is there a better approach to obtaining right-alignment above?Thanks so much for any insight.

Is it possible to have 'Get List items by View' on a SQL Service Instance?

Hi,Usually I use SharePoint Lists as my data Source and us the ‘Get List by View’ if I have a very large database (to speed up results). However, I am hooking into a Smart Object that has a SQL Database as a source, and the only Method available is ‘List’ …. Is this a restriction of using a SQL database or is it because this is the way the service instance is set up?  Could this method be made available by editing the service instance and redeploying a smart object? (I am a novice where SQL is concerned). Thanks

Is there a way with rules to convert or caste AD Name into AD Display Name?

Hi All I hope you have a good weekend.I have a people picker tied to the AD User Smart Object. Using the system value Name returns domain/username. I figured out how to make the picker display the display name but I need to copy the name to several text boxes in the process. Using Transfer Data rule, results in the domainusername being copied. Is there a way to caste the username into the display name with rule, box properties, or expressions?

How do you manage and track your contracts?

Hi all,I don't know if this is the right place, but I'd really like to have your opinion/suggestion on a few things. I am pretty sure a few of you may be able to help me. As you might be aware that every business relies on contracts, so does mine. Even Though my organization doesn't have thousands of contracts to manage, it is hard to follow each one of them. No folder creation for sharepoint ?

Hello, I’ve set Sharepoint online integration with K2 cloud but I can’t manage to have folder management in my designer ?I can deal with document, library, lists, ... but nothing with folders. Do I miss an unknown parameter ? Thank you !

How to Package OAUTH for migration

Hello All,We've recently finished creating a K2 / Adobe Sign integration on our DEV environment. This included creating an OAUTH Resource Type, Resource instance, Service Instance and Smart Objects. Customizations were made to a form to take advantage of the new Smart Object methods.  We are ready to move our project to our staging server. But I have some questions.1. Do I need to create the OAUTH resources on the staging server PRIOR to the migration?  Or, 2. Will the migration create the OAUTH resources on the staging server3. How long is the delay in adding a user to K2?

Hi Under category security, i’ve got break inheritance and an AD group assigned access to it.I’ve added a new user to the AD Group, but the user is unable to see the category - been waiting a while. What is the official wait time for K2 to refresh the identity cache or cycle to update membership locally on the K2 server? Thanks

Last week day of the month expression

Hello, I am new to K2 and I am trying to write an expression on a text box on a form to display a payroll cut off date which is the last week day of the month. I can get the last day of the month using the built in end of month operator but I am struggling to subtract days if the last day of the month is a Saturday or a Sunday. I have tried using an If weekday is Saturday then subtract days of 1 or if weekday is Sunday subtract 2 days but this results in a False being displayed. Has anyone done something similar or can advise the best way to achieve this? I also thought I would need a else just display the date but I don’t see an operator of Else.

Smartform view - Text area control line breaks

With a Text Area memo control on a smartform view, line breaks entered by the user seem to be correctly saved to the data source but when the form is reloaded, the line breaks are not shown, just a big long chunk of text. Is there a setting for this? Thanks

Two forms with same rules for AD but 2 different Results

In our active directory the City is represented with a numerical character. On the form we want to spell out the City. I created a Smart object called City that has properties CityNumeric and CityAlphabetic in a test environment and created a list view from it and populated the list with the numeric values and the alphabetic values.I call an unbound rule in the initialize section. On the form I populate the AD Values from AD User smart Object including City. To change the city to alphabetic I execute a smart object method and for the input I select the City Text box to receive the CityNumeric value and for the output I populate the City Text box with the value CityAlphabetic. It works like a charm and the city is spelled out-In this small test environment.For the real Form, which retrieves many more AD properties, I duplicate the above method exactly and it does not work. When I run the form, the spelled out city appears for a split second and then the numeric value replaces it. I’ve c

Out of office delegation Issue with SharedUser parameter

Hello,While using out of office delegation, I am facing an issue with SharedUser form parameter. Usually when a task is delegated, SharedUser form parameter gets the FQN of the shared user. Whereas in this case, nothing is being populated in the SharedUser parameter. Instead a duplicate SharedUser parameter is being created with user FQN value in it like this --&SharedUser=&SharedUser=K2%3AFS%5CUSERFQNIdeally, parameters with the same name should not be duplicated.Can anyone please help me with this issue in case you have came across the same issue earlier? Regards,Sonali Jain
