Have been playing around with External Data Source (specifically OData based) and ran in to several issues which in some cases resulted in my pages not even able to display in the builder any longer and requiring a “revert” to previous version.Here’s some high level information and feedback:1) Initially when using the “External Object Name” field I thought it was just a straight text box so I typed in the value, saved the page and previewed but saw no data. It wasn’t intuitive to me that this was a “autocomplete” as each time I typed nothing changed so I just assumed it was a straight textbox. I then decided to hit refresh and noticed that what I typed was gone which led me to determining that this must be an autocomplete field.2) After figuring out that it was an autocomplete, I still was not getting any data but had no indication as to why. When pulling in data via an OData service, only the first row of data is displayed in a table even though the model contains all expected rows. I’ve narrowed this down to only seem to occur when an “Id” equivalent type of field is not included in the model. For example, using the OData test service at (http://services.odata.org/V3/OData/OData.svc/) with ODataDemo.Categories, if the model contains “Name” only, the table only displays the first row. However, if the model also includes “Id”, all model data is displayed in the table. In either situation however, the model itself contains all rows as you can see in the screenshot below with the footer indicating 1-3 of 3 rows. Not sure if this is expected behavior (if so, a doc updated might be appropriate) or a defect? When placing a navigation component on a page, the display of drop-down menus gets “cut-off” based on container height, etc. Placing the nav component in the “header” and the problem does not occur. One solution to this is to ensure that the container has a minimum height of what the menu would need but this is not ideal. I’m guessing the problem has something to do with the zorder and/or the js/css implementation. Note in the screen cap below the menu should display the entire SFDC Apps menu. After Banzai install, one of our pages, that has a page include, loads with the page include shifted way to the right. See pictures: Chrome… loads just fine. Firefox ESR 31… page include (or maybe just the table component) is shifted IE 11… shifted as well. Any ideas?? This is only since Banzai was installed.
I have a custom object that is a child of another custom object. I am trying to pull a table that would have all of the childs custom objects on the account not just for one parent object. For example we have a subscription custom object that has a child custom object that is called admin request. This is used to allow our sales team to request something that only an administrator can do. I would like to create a table that pulls all admin request for the account even if there are multiple subscriptions on the account. I know that I need to create a condition that does that but cant find the correct combination to work. I can either pull for one of the subscriptions or for every admin request in our system. I just want to pull all admin request for that clients account no matter how many subscriptions they have. I am new to Skuid Please help.
Record Types for objects that should not be available for a user profile are visible in picklists and table filters.I’ve come across the problem in several places in Skuid, most recently I built a table filter that uses Rows in a Model as the values, and the model is RecordType with a condition of SObject Name = Contact. A user that has no access to the Contact Record Type of Shareholder can see the Shareholder option in the Table Filter.This also happens with field editors when the Record Type field is a picklist, all users can see all record types that are available except those limited by filters, even if they don’t have access to a particular record type. It throws an error on save if the user chooses a record type they don’t have access to, but I’d prefer if they just didn’t even see the unavailable record type option.
My pages in Banzai have a ! where my icons used to be. They are there when I preview the page, but not in the page builder. Do I need to do something to get them to show up?
Our story begins with 2 models:“Members” : ordinary custom sObject model, condition where Id = Param.Id. Limit 100 records“UtilityAccount” : custom sObject, condition where Id IN any row from "Members: model. Limit 1000The trouble is that users weren’t getting warnings for bad data on page load if the error was on row #101 or greater. So I changed the limit on “Members” to 1000 records. Life was great in Userville, the page load was a drop slower but Users we’re so excited that they got errors on page load, that they barely noticed. Suddenly the Apex Heap size error reared it’s ugly head. Users were frightened and disturbed by this. Anytime there were more than 500 or so “Members” the page wouldn’t load!Enter the loadNextOffset method! In the “OData Use Case…SQL Server” tutorial, you detail how to add a new data source and define a Model Service for this OData endpoint. However, you say in Step 2 of “Create new Model Service” to define it as “REST”, not “OData1-3”. Why is that? Given that it’s an OData endpoint, seems logical to set the Adapter Name to “Odata1-3”, which is presented in the popup.Thanks,Greg
I’m currently building in a workflow to check for duplicates before converting a lead. To do so, I have a duplicate leads model whose conditions compare fields like email address to the same fields on my Lead model. When duplicates are identified, they are presented in a table along with a separate table containing values from the current Lead record for comparison. Both can be edited in-line to clear up any errors that might be causing the duplicates to be identified. I then have a custom Save button that saves and re-queries both models.When editing and saving the duplicate record in-line, the process works perfectly. The value is updated, the models re-queried, and the tables disappear from the page (they’re conditionally displayed only if the duplicate model contains any rows). However, when the current Lead is edited in-line, the models are saved correctly, but the query does not seem to update the Duplicate Leads model, as this continues to be displayed in the pop-up, despi
I currently have a row action for opening up a popup when the item needs to be shipped. Instead of the small icon for row action I want a button “Ship” to show up in its own column which when clicked will run the action added for row action. I am able to show the button in a separate column using custom renderer for a field, but not sure how to trigger the row action from that snippet.

I have a table with rows from a model with order product records belonging to a specific order. In standard Salesforce functionality, clicking on the “Product” field in the order product related list takes you to the order product record. I want to emulate this behavior with the PriceBookEntryId lookup field of my Skuid table row (that is, linking to the order product (the rows record Id) instead of the pricebookentry lookup record). I’ve read up on the Mass Record Creation tutorials posted throughout the community but noticed that I couldn’t find anything on having this process work from a basic "Create New ___ " Page. It seemed to me that the majority of the tutorials focused on Mass Record Creation within an account, etc.First off, I was wondering if it would be difficult to create this type of functionality but from a basic record creation standpoint. So a User would fill out all pertinent Opportunity information (maybe have a field for the # of those records to be created), and then when they clicked Save (or another custom button likely) that multiple records would be created identical to the first and then save. I say this because we were using In-Line cloning to mimic this process; however, the initial page query takes ~5 seconds given all the extra fields it has to load. And many of our opportunities are orders broken out into 6-12 months so I don’t want to take that functionality away from our users if po
I have a page that may or may not receive a url parameter, let’s call it patientid. If it does not, the condition is deactivated and the page shows lots of patients, instead of 1.Now, I have a page include within the page that I would like to pass the patientid to, and have it work similarly. But in the case where the parent page doesn’t get the parameter, the page include is returning 0 patients, instead of lots of patients. I image that it’s looking for patientid=null and not finding anything.Is there a way to accomplish this?I basically need to pass the params of the parent page to the include directly, and have it process them the same way.
I am new to Skuid. I have added this Javascript Snippet to create a custom button. The onclick function of the button should call the drawloop ddp. I want to add this custom component in a tab. I cannot see the custom button… What might be the problem? Here is the Javascript snippet that I created. I’m receiving a blank page with the page title at the top when I try to edit one of my pages via the editor.I’m receiving this error in the console: “Cannot read property ‘split’ of undefined”I can access the page via the XML link but am unsure what caused the issue. It was working and then I refreshed and it stopped working. Not sure what change I could have done to cause this. Any ideas?
By default the first model is ‘selected’, but the builder can’t find the sObject. As a workaround, you can select a different model, and then select the first one again, and *poof*, sObject found. But that doesn’t help on pages with one model.
I receive a remoting exception when saving a new record in a table for Campaign Members. The only filter condition on the Campaign Member model is the Lead Id which is pulled from the url parameter. Updates work fine it is only new Campaign Records that produce this error. This is occurring in our sandbox environment that is currently using Superbank - Patch 9 Version 6.8.20. In order to take out any variables, I created a brand new page from scratch with only Lead and Campaign Member models. Same error occurred. See screenshot for reference.
We have a queue that we use to manage incoming email cases. This queue is built in Skuid and is used inside of a Service Cloud/Console App. This has been working great for many months. However, after upgrading to Banzai, clicking on a case in the list view no longer opens the case in a new console tab. Instead it opens the case by overwriting the primary tab. Which means, that to get back to the queue, they have to switch to another tab in the App and then back to the email queue. Also, right before it loads I get several ‘Unable to connect to server’ errors (which I’ve never seen before either).I’m not sure if there is a new way the visualforce page has to be built to make the tabs load correctly or what, but any assistance/ideas on how to get these pages to work again would be awesome.Thanks,Adam
I’m getting multiple export boxes when using charts in page includes. Any idea what may be causing this? I don’t want to turn it off all charts. Screenshot below:
Is this what I should expect on mobile textarea fields? I get the field title, a with the text of the field, and then the <textarea>. Seems pretty redundant/ugly. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi there, i’ve got a filter set up in a left nav page for the contacts object. Instead of the filters appearing as a drop down list they are appearing as a list of elements down the left hand nav (see image). for the life of me i can’t figure out why this is going on, i’m trying to modify the version of this functionality (which works) found here (https://github.com/skuidify/SamplePages/blob/master/pages/Mobile_Filter) but cannot seem to make it work… has anyone come across this before? Would definitely appreciate some help on this one :S
I couldn’t find a setting for this in the mobile theme, either.
